Just can't pull the trigger on Verizon 16 GB

Verizon REALLY wants phones to have as little storage space as possible so you will use more data.

Which in my mind is a conflict of interest and something that perhaps should be regulated a bit more. Customers in the U.S. are definitely paying more then they should be for things. It will be interesting to see what the future brings in this regard.

32G storage isn't popular for most phone buyers. I can guarantee AC doesn't make up most phone buyers, though. If most consumers don't opt for more storage (even if most of the users here do) it doesn't make sense for them to offer it.

I was hoping the Nexus 4 would be a little different since it's not exactly a mainstream device, but I think the low price kind of dictated minimal storage.

It might have more to do with the price premium and availability than the lack of desire for more storage.

Want a 32gb X on Verizon? Get a MAXX. Its basically the same phone with twice the storage and a huge battery to boot.

I have one. Additionally, it works on ATT with HSPA+ for data.

Its a great phone. Not saying its the right phone for everyone, but if you are on Verizon and considering the X..... you should take a look at the MAXX.

Apple sells a very high number of 32 GB phones and a fair number of 64 GB. The demand is there but when companies like Verizon make it so you have to special order a 32 GB S 4 its becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that demand is low.

The form factor of the maxx is terrible. No comparison to the Moto X.

Actually, according to some HTC market research MOST people get by with 8. Personally, 32 GB is the sweet spot for me and I bought an S3 at Launch with 32 GB on board. Haven't needed an expansion card as usually right around 16 used. Since they'r non-expandable you 'd better get it for your personal circumstance or have a LOT of HASSLE down the road.
