LG G3 on ART

I just switched over to art and I don't see a difference in performance but my battery is draining a little faster

I switched over to art just now and I need to admit I notice a huge improvement in speed.. I hope there's no downfalls to this. I need to play with it longer.

So I set it back to dalvik. ART was draining my battery like crazy.

This is why I love android. Although, since switching my battery has been draining pretty quickly

I'm on Verizon and ART was draining my battery. Without me using the it the battery would lose 10% every hour.

I switched back to dalvik a couple of days ago. I was noticing more lag recently on art and my battery wouldn't last as long. It wasn't as bad as others on Verizon have experienced but I would finish the day around 5%. . Back on dalvik I'm around 30% at the end of the day, all things being equal.

I'm on t-mobile.

My sprint g3 has been outstanding on art it is much faster and also I have noticed my phone doesn't get as hot as it was on Dalvik. Also battery life is much much better last night I checked it and I was 18 hours and still had 38% battery never would I have got that on Dalvik. I was getting around 10 or 12 hours before I would be at 10% battery so I am loving it. I think only the sprint version is able to work well on this runtime. LG g3 Rocks!!!!!

Tried ART before with no issues now all of a sudden it's made my G3 unstable as hell. Battery draining, severe lag. Wasn't doing this when I first got it.

You probably installed an app since then and it's the app having a conflict with ART and draining and causing lag. Have you installed many apps since ART? Can you list them out? Because it would be interesting to see if others that have enabled ART and then disabled also have any common apps installed at the time. Then it would be good to notify the developer of the issue it's causing with G3s.

I have a LG-G3 D851 from Tmobile and when I switched to ART, I noticed it was slightly speedier and drained my battery slightly faster. One advantage to ART is that it seemed to use less Ram for some reason I can't explain. But, the real deal breaker is when I tried to use Bluetooth in my car. The phonebook was messed up and I couldn't say people's name and have my car phone dial it. I've been using an app called bluetooth phonebook that may not be optimized for ART. I switched back to Dalvik.

Question:
If ART uses more storage, if you switch back to Dalvick, do you get back the lost storage?

Sounds reasonable. That's probably what happened to me. Initially ART ran without issue. Ah well... I hadn't noticed any differences in performance anyway.

Giving it a whirl now. Will let you know how it goes. After spending years mucking around with unofficial Blackberry software downloads, this is my first Android one (well, kinda...).
