LG G3 What phone did you come from?

I came from a Lumia 920. I haven't owned an Android device since the original HTC Evo, but my wife has had several Android phones so it was kind of the best of both worlds. Anyway, my 920 started acting up and I was getting annoyed by a lot of little things - mainly the lack of a quick and reliable Hangouts app - so I decided to give Android another go. So far, so good. I guess the only thing that bothers me is that the MSFT Office android app still doesn't support the G3's resolution, but I have OneDrive and OneNote (and even Bing search, hehe) all set up and I'm really enjoying everything.

One app that I really thought I would miss was Yatzy, but I've been very pleased with Dice with Buddies. Great game.

I still definitely prefer Windows Phone as far as UI/UX and aesthetics is concerned. I'll revisit WP when it's time to get a new phone in a year or two.

I came from a Nokia 920 and I loved that phone, but Windows Phone is going nowhere and the quality of the apps that are available is pretty poor.

Android has matured really well over the last few years I've been on Windows Phone. And the G3 is an awesome bit of kit!

I know i just said basically the same thing, but I just wanna quote you and say that I feel almost exactly the same way. I was afraid that I would come back to Android and it would be a laggy slog, but so far I've been pleasantly surprised.

I came from the BB Z10. It was my first smartphone and I really liked everything about it, except that I had to do a warranty exchange on it twice and my wife has exchanged hers three times now.
I've had major growing pains coming to Android. It annoys the hell out of me that texts, emails, and all the other types of messages require separate apps; I don't like that I can't edit my hotmail contacts on the phone; wah, wah, wah.
But I do like the G3 screen, camera is great, the phone is very comfortable in the hand, and the customizable screen buttons are nice.
The only issues I've had are occasional heating with one overheating warning when I mirrored a tv show over chromecast on an app that did not support casting, a little bit of lag when returning to the home screen, and occasional delay/freezing with the browser that I blame on occasional slow internet. I picked this over the S5.

Coming from a OnePlus One, and Nexus5 prior to that. Still have those devices, I like phones I guess!

Read through alot of this thread and seems alot of G3 owners came from a Note 3

I'm curious, have anyone gone from the Note 3 to G3 and regret it?

I currently have the note 3 but am kinda curious about the G3... 😊

I had the Note 3 and have no regrets. I absolutely loved the Note 3 for a while. In fact the Note 3 was the phone I kept the longest at 6 months. I grew tired of TouchWiz. I rarely used the spen. Only thing I miss is the battery life. I actually switched from the note 3 to the Blackberry q10 to the iPhone 5s and the g3 has exceeded my expectations. I was originally going to get the Note 4 to test it out but the longer I have the g3 the more I see how well rounded the device is.

I may have to go in and check out the G3 for myself. The note 3 is the best phone I've ever owned (was previously an iPhone only user) but I am getting sick of the poor battery life and Touch wiz bloat...

I had a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Loved the size but the very mid-range specs were a problem. It was an ATT phone so flashing a decent Rom was not an option. Since I couldn't modify the Mega I decided to just buy a phone that would beast out of the box. I love my G3...it absolutely flies.

HTC M8... Have it to the wife and took the G3. I just did this in the past two days. I thought I would miss the speakers or BOOM SOUND. But I would put the even if I had to judge that. They both have their futures that set them apart. I will miss the Netflixs bed times.

I have been using a Nexus 5 for six months. Today I got the G3. It's a great phone and I am very glad I have switched. I am not even running an alternate launcher on this phone. That's how much I liked it out of the box. There are some things I will miss about the Nexus, mainly the fast updates, but the G3 is a fantastic phone.

IPhone 4S which I've had almost 2 years. Went in to get the Note3 but instead opted for the G3. Love the screen and it's size, still getting used to android butvi think I'm going to love it too.
Also got the G3 watch which I really am enjoying

New to Android with the LG G3... iPhone recently and BB before that. Love the phone so far. Still figuring out Android, but so far so good. Just trying to get past a quirky ATT Voicemail / New SIM card warning message that doesn't go away. Learning a bunch in these forums. Love it.
