LG G3 Wireless Qi charging

It has been confirmed over at XDA that AT&T has disabled Qi charging. Every user who bought a Qi enabled back wasn't able to charge it wirelessly. PMA is the only way to wirelessly charge an AT&T LG3.

As much as I want qi cover or case, in going to wait and see what vzw has to offer. Reading that PDf from LG shows carriers will carry official cases. With my discount free shipping I bet it'll b cheaper then eBay.

you phone wont be compatible with these battery doors shown (Qi), you'll need a PMA Wireless Charging STAND. Havent check PMA option, but I know Qi has quite a few of them.

Thanks - I'm actually having a hard time finding a PMA stand...

This. I have qi charger for my Nexus 5 and Lumia 925, but may need to bite the bullet if I keep the G3 and get a PMA charger. As much as I hate to, I do not plan on leaving ATT any time soon. I also find wireless charging useful.

South as I love wireless charging (and it was a factor in picking up the G3) I won't keep it long enough to make the investment into the back plate and a powermatt charger.

The hardware hack would have to be even more intricate than the 1520s because the G3 AT&T isn't a gimped versions, ITS REWORKED to use PMA. The 1520 had QI connectors AT&T just ripped out.

I believe that the cover with the hole on the front flip door will work with the verizon G3. I don't like that one, so I am going to wait for someone to come out with other options.

Lost my G2 yesterday, and purchased a G3 today. Kind of bummed that they went backwards with it's capabilities out of the box.

I can confirm that the replacement back cover in this thread from Ebay seller Cellphone-Parts does work with the Verizon LG G3 and the TYLT VU Qi desktop charger. It also works with my Samsung Qi wireless charging pad mini....Woo Hoo!!!!

I've got one ordered now for my Sprint G3. Hope it works.

My concern with this product is just how protected will the device be if/when it's dropped. Will the front flap stay closed? I've had three mobile devices in my family break w/in two weeks. It's Otterbox (or the equivalent thereof) or nothing! ;-)

So now I'm wondering: Will any of those replacement backplates work through an Otterbox case with a Qi charger puck?

I bought the LG G3 and the ONLY place I found the Quick Circle case with the wireless charging built in was the AT&T Quick Circle "POWERMAT" Charging case. I got the case 2 days ago and I first tried it using the Nokia Qi charge plate. When I put the phone with the quick circle case on the mat it DID start charging, then I hear beep beep and on the display it says, SLOW CHARGING Please use ONLY LG G3 power cord and charger and to reposition the case on the mat. I repositioned it many times and it every 20 seconds it beep beep (annoying as all hell) and the same message kept appearing, but it WAS charging. I then bought and had a LG WCP 3000 Wireless charge pad overnighted to me from Amazon, i just got it now and same issue, same annoying beeps and same message. WTF I don't know what to do, but its also really annoying and confusing because ONLY the AT&T description (and on the box too it said this) "LG Quick Circle Powermat case" I thought powermat used a different wireless tech that QI? I have tried to get the white folding wireless LG Charger but the only place i can find it is on ebay for $59 PLUS and its shipped from Korea. If ANYONE knows what i am doing wrong please let me know. I'm just curious if LG makes two types of Quick circle charging cases??? Oh and btw, AT&T does NOT sell any LG Charging plates, just the LG Quick circle "Powermat" charging case, the one i have that is annoying to no end.
