LG G3 Wireless Qi charging

Because the stickers you referenced are Qi and I need PMA (AT&T phone).
Hahaha...good point. Got me there.

They do have Qi receivers with USB. It's a thin Micro USB ribbon cable that connects to the USB port on the phone. Place the sticker coil inside the phone and you can have Qi charging. Probably the best option rather than be stuck to PMA.

Got the Quick Circle case with PMA Charging today at ATT retail. It was scanned wrong for $12.50. instead of $59. It's a nice enough case. I just wish that ATT would have left the charging stock. Plus, they don't even sell those mats at the store. LOL. You have to buy online. SIngle charger was only $25 from Amazon, so still not too bad. These wireless companies just can't help themselves to get out of the way. Great phone though, even if crippled by the carriers.

Got my gold cover with four pins, and the Spigen Slim Armor Case. All works as supposed to. I'm set, but it did cost me about 60 bucks to make it work like my old G2.

The 2 device powermat with portable battery and an iPhone 4/4s PMA case at Amazon is only $18 right now.

Which carrier are you on?

I am on AT&T, not sure if that Gold case on eBay works for both Verizon and AT&T, anyone know?

Thanks!

I ripped off the flap from the AT&T PMA Quick Circle case. I've been using it for almost two weeks, and it works fine. There is an opening on the left side, but there is no opening into the back of the phone. Its basically a slim hard shell case. Slight profile and the PMA wireless charging works just fine.

Yes, I just removed my front cover yesterday, with an exacto knife. (Also on AT&T, and be-grudgingly has to buy some PowerMat chargers.)

Kind of a "FrankenCase" with that left cutout open and traces of the flap plastic visible where I cut it, but I found the flap to be too annoying.

After some time with a Nexus 5, not having wireless charging is a complete non-starter for me.

Really crappy of the US Carriers to pimp us like this, I feel like returning my AT&T G3 asap and buying a Korean one from Expansys with the Qi charging built in. Still considering that option, I am within my return period for a few more days...

Why not just buy a universal Qi wireless receiver? Its a receiver with a thin ribbon and a USB cable at the end of it. Put the receiver between the battery and battery door cover. Close it up and the ribbon will hang out from the phone. Plug the USB cable into the phone. It's kind of tricking the battery into thinking its being charged via USB cable when in reality, its wireless due to the receiver communicating with the Qi charging pad.

It should still work. The receiver is what would be Qi compatible. Then it just sends the charge down the wire, through the USB, and into the phone.

It is also much cheaper than buying the LG Quick Circle case and a separate powermat.

Correct. Regardless if your phone is PMA. The receiver is Qi and will send signal to the USB port. Essentially its tricking the phone into thinking that you're charging via USB cable when its really via Qi wireless.

I bought the VZW wireless charging circle case and peeled the charging pad out of it and then peeled the NFC pad out of the original batter cover and then placed the wireless charging/nfc pad from the circle case in to the standard battery cover. Works great and works with all phone cases.

My VZW charges on QI pads.

So the sticker just peeled out of the case an re-stuck to another one?

If so, I guess I could do that from the AT&T Circle Case to the stock back?

Please confirm, thanks!
