LG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures

Probably my last photo with the V20. :( I'm moving on with the S9+! I really enjoyed the V20 and if I end up not liking the S9+, I'll switch to the V30.

I went back to the place where I originally took the photo in my hand. Both photos were taken with the V20. The moon was taken with the DSLR and were layered with clouds.

What a fantastic "exit" photo! Enjoy your S9+ when it comes!

Yeah I was in the same boat with you but I'm on the fence now about upgrading. I'll see. It's really not missing much for me. I'll wait until you start posting photos first before I pull the trigger.lol I would like to hold out until the phone is paid off so I can opt into the Jump OnDemand plan on T-Mobile. Then I can play with all the phones and always have a reliable backup device and dedicated music player.

Awesome picture! Enjoy your S9+ or your V30, whichever you end up keeping. :)

This sounds like an excellent plan.

It does right? But I desperately want to upgrade to a phone with a great front facing camera since I had some pretty significant work done on my teeth. Not so much for selfies but pictures with me and my kids and friends smiling confidently. Even a few videos too. Google camera does some magic to improve the quality as much as it can but it can't completely improve what isn't there on the hardware side. For myself I can turn the camera around and use the rear camera but it's not an ideal solution for taking pics with other people. The S9+ really ticks just about every box I need though.

Thanks everyone! The S9+ came in the mail today. I got it for a great price that I couldn't pass up. It's probably not a major upgrade from the V20 anyways.

Well this little guy was found in my apartment. I was startled at first but realized he did not run at all. In fact he/she was walking very gingerly. So instead I observed it for a little while. He didn't run at the sight of me so I let him be. I can tell he was hurt. So I put him in a box to attempt to care for it and nurse it back to health. Also I knew my kids would have a fascination for it and would want to keep it as a pet until he was healthy enough to go out on his own. Sadly, the little fella passed away. I hope it was able to feel that someone cared for it in its last moments in life. The kids said their farewells and we released him outside back into nature.

I'm sorry for the mice, good thing you took care of him till the end. Regular people would just kill it or something.

Yeah, I just felt a little compassion for him even though I usually do try to get rid of these rodents because it is my apartment after all. But it had been through enough already. Little guy was tired and I dare not kill any creature welcomed or not in that state.

He's so cute! Poor little dude. That was so nice of you to care for it.

My new work station came in the mail right before I left for work. Perfect timing.

I took my S9+ for a camera run and I was unimpressed. The S9+ wins in auto mode but the V20 beats it in manual mode. I guess I'm returning to the V20. lol

Aww, poor mouse. I'm glad you tried to care for it and were humane toward it.

Wow are you serious? That fast? Give it a little more time. One thing I did notice though is how the settings in manual mode disappear in Samsung's pro mode. Also the entire range of the settings is all on the screen instead of a scrollable wheel like on the V20. I still prefer LG's manual mode over everything but I am really expecting the S9's camera to be great. Maybe you'll go to the V30? I just got my replacement V20 so I don't know what I'm gonna do yet but I planned on getting the S9+ next Friday.

Gotta love overnight shipping. So fast. T-Mobile did scare me with this LG Stylo 2 Plus sticker though.lol To keep or upgrade? I just might keep it.

True. I have a month to return for a full refund. I'm not the only S9 user who is seeing this. Close up shots and selfie shots are superb. Dark environment and landscape shots at night are poor. There's lots of noise and it's quite dark compare to the V20. The ISO caps out at 800 and shutter can only be open for a max of 10 sec. I am using the raw file. I feel a firmware update might fix the photo processing.

I also find it annoying that one light touch changes the camera mode or switches to selfie cam. I will take some more shots tonight.

So now you have 2 V20s? Trade-in credits for the S9+?
