LG V20 pic

Well, they hired a famous celebrity to advertise the V10 and it was a great phone. Not sure how it did sales wise but I'm guessing well enough to warrant them making a V20.

If it warranted so well y change how it looks???

Why did Samsung change how the Note 7 looked and function compared to the Note 4 or 5? Why do all phone mfg. change how their devices look every year?

Nothing wrong with changing the look as long as its for the better. Have you held the V20 yet? All of us are just making speculations based off of a photo and renders. Personally I think the phone looks great and if the OP is accurate with his/her information then this could be a really great phone. We just have to wait on specs.....Sept. 6 is not too far off.

Oh yes but they were terrible and confusing. Why not just let Jason Statham be Jason Statham? They need some good stuff cause the marketing and ability to actually back up what Samsung is promoting is real this year.
I have no idea who Jason Statham is or why he's famous, but I loved the G5 commercial for its quirkiness and that it had a Leekspin remix playing in the background.

You haven't seen any of the Transporter movies(I actually haven't but saw all the explosive previews lol), Furious 7, Spy or The Expendables movies? He is one of those cool, hard action movie guys that's why the commercials were so weird for me. I guess if you don't know who he is it wouldn't seem as weird though.

No, but even if I had seen any of those, I still probably wouldn't have been able to put a name to the face. I don't pay much attention to who's staring in movies or t.v. Lol

Does anyone now if the display will be improved? LG does make OLED televisions and would be capable of making OLED phone displays. The N7 has a great Amoled display and only an adequate battery. If LG can give both in the V20, I would be sold.
Although I love the display on the N7, I wouldn't stop worrying about how easily it, along with the glass back, can be easily broken or scratched.

We're expecting the same display from current generation phones but any change would be a welcomed surprise. Hopefully they solved the screen retention issues as well. Not sure if the G5 has them but the V10 sure does.

Sorry if i didn't explain my self fully if the v20 is modular and the G5 did not do as well as everyone thinks then it does not warrant LG to have a phone that was deemed a silent killer because of how well it is made inside and out to mimic a phone that didn't. Those listed companies changed the design of the phone either because of feedback which the V10 didn't have negative feedback or the design is just relatively old you don't want to purchase a 2018 vehicle that has the exact body of a 1999 model then again maybe you do but the majority of customers will not that was my point

Well according to the OP who posted the picture of the actual V20 the phone won't be modular, it will have metal/steel sides like the V10 and will also have a 2nd display on the top like the V10. So while the phone might not look exactly like the V10 it will still retain some of its features. Personally, if that is the V20 in the picture posted, it looks pretty damn good! =)

What do you mean by "screen retention issues"?

On black screens you can actually see whatever is on your home screen a lot of times. It's like a dim image of the icon that's annoyingly visible. Not bright but you can clearly see it. It's an annoying plague that many V10 owners have known about. Also know as burn in.

It's similar to burn-in, but image retention can be recovered from by either shutting the display off for a while or displaying a static white image for a while.

Burn-in is usually permanent.

Yeah it's not there all the time thankfully. That would be a deal breaker.

Doesn't the V10 have an LCD display? That's odd.
