Got the Mav out for a sunny day ride a week or so ago. Finally got another short drive today, after the z-pack started kicking my bronchitis.

Welcome to the all-new Android Central Forums! - We're still moving some things around, so you may see a few quirks here and there, but we're working on getting things fully completed as soon as possible. For now, take a look around, and if you run into any major issues please let us know in this thread!
That's a great shot!Fire pit action last weekend. I took pics with both the regular and telephoto lenses, but can't recall which are which at the moment. Just wanted to post here in my thread LOL.![]()
Thanks! I like talking pictures of the hot coals, but I'm always afraid I'm going to damage the camera trying to get a close-up.That's a great shot!![]()

What is that? Doesn't sound familiar.Does the V50 still have the point zoom feature in the camera app?
It's a feature that was available in previous LG phones like the V30. It allows you to smoothly zoom in a specific area depending on where you selected. What is that? Doesn't sound familiar.
Oh ok. So the V50 still has cineshot?I couldn't find anything that looked like that, but I've never used cineshot before
Yep. I found what you were asking about. Must not have been enough light the first time I tried it.Oh ok. So the V50 still has cineshot?
Wow very nice! LG took that away on the V60.Yep. I found what you were asking about. Must not have been enough light the first time I tried it.![]()

Bummer. Seems they took away one of the rear cameras too and replaced it with a giant sensor for cropped "zoom" pics. How well is that working? Of course it seems most of the time the V40 and V50 would decide there wasn't enough light for the zoom lense and just crop a shot from the main lense.Wow very nice! LG took that away on the V60.
Yeah I've found that the newer phones like the OnePlus 7 Pro really let you use the telephoto lens in many situations even at night provided there is some light available. I took some pretty admirable shots at night on the 7 Pro using the telephoto. For the V60 the main sensor as a zoom actually worked very well and much better than the main lens crop from older phones since they didn't use the telephoto. My main problem with the V60 and the reason why I ultimately took it back was because LG did not give us the option for two different focal lengths for portrait mode shots as well as the portrait mode suffering from lack of HDR in some bright scenes. The background would get blown out more than not when the normal mode HDR was very good. It suffered the same issue from the front camera when using portrait mode as opposed to normal photos. I could have easily waited it out but from my experience with the LG V10, V20 and V30, LG does not have the best track record with post release camera updates. But the zoom was very reasonable from the main lens since it uses a large 64mp sensor. I enjoyed the V60 otherwise and the battery life was out of this world in today's world of smartphones.Bummer.
