[LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.6 (8/06/11)

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

I've noticed while charging the light goes green when it hits 90%. I think this happened on another rom but I can't remember specifically. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with poor battery life. It's just a gut feeling but it seems like the way the battery is accessed is screwed up and causing accelerated battery drain.

What "poor battery life"??? I have not noticed the green light and when it comes on or changes color... I usually just check the battery status on the device.... so I know it's 100%... and if you have been looking at the battery tests I've done on this thread you will see that I don't think there is a "poor battery life" issue with this ROM.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

The green light does come on at 90. odd but I just charge to 100 %

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

Today again wow what a battery life. 8Hrs off charger and still 55% either its the first kernel or the 2nd. I am just amazed to finally not have to worry about were a charger is.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

Fatboy I know you get great battery life. As I've mentioned in this thread mine isn't as good as yours. It's better than other roms but there is still something quirky. I'd be interested if anyone with extraordinary battery life sees the green light come on at 90%. If makes me wonder if perhaps my battery is 'truly' being fully charged. however it's probably just a quirk.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

As of right now.. I am getting about 24 hrs straight without charging my battery, and that is with moderate to heavy use... I could get more but have a lot of widgets and synced crap running :)

and yes... I have noticed that with a few ROMs, my green light comes on at 90 percent, its not a big deal... really, MOST of us just plug the phone in when we go to bed and unplug it when we wake up about 6-8 hrs later....

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

CM7 does the 90% thing too. ASOP thing?

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

You guys battery life is insane... back to Liquid nandroid... so since last night that's CM7>Liquid>Gingeritis 3D>CM7>Liquid, lol.

Edit - >CM71.3 heh

Could be... I think some collaborate between projects... and I think I remember reading that some on CM7 also work on LTB.

U rock dude! Thanks for including that kernel on your original post...

... Also, for the most part you can use any theme or kernel for any AOSP type rom. I am using a theme right now or liquid thunder bread that was meant for CM. Just remember always do your homework and research first... And ALWAYS create a nandroid before you do experiments to your phone

Found 2 Easter eggs... Go to your settings, click on about phone and then tap on mod version repeatedly until the easter egg appears it is a picture also you can click on 'android version' for the other egg... ;-)

Is there an easter egg that enables the busted gps in the latest build?

My GPS is working... and has been working on v2.2 and v2.3. Have you thought about changing Radio's??? I was using 1.39.00.0629r with a lot of success... and just loaded 1.46.00.0704w a few hours ago to test.. I'm going out right now to test the new radio with my GPS to find someplace I need to be soon.

Re: Liquid Thunderbread v2.2 (7/8/11)

FYI... if anyone is having screen wake issues like i was... here is a link to a kernel that should fix it... xda-developers - View Single Post - [GB Kernel] leanKernel: minimalistic kernel (3.4.0GBtest 6/29/11, v3.5.6AOSP 7/22/11)

Is there anyone who was having the screen/wake issue who was able to correct it by re-flashing the ROM? The reason I ask is because I won't be able to update the kernel for a few days, but I have the ROM file on my sdcard and would be able to re-flash anytime, just wanted to see if anyone else had luck going that route first.

I flashed LTB 2.4 this morning before work (coming from BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4.9) and I'm loving almost all of it except for this screen/wake issue. I've changed the settings and eliminated most of the animations, and now it's hit and miss, so I changed the setting to enable a Menu key unlock.

I am still on version 2.3, and the only way I was able to correct it was by flashing 1 of a imos kernels... I am using 3.5.6 AOSP test, it is a different kernel that I gave, but it works just the same for the screen wake lag issue. It was the only way that I was able to fix my screen wake problem

The one thing I have not tried is the 1.39.00.0629r radio. I am currently on the 1.46.00.0704w radio. FWIT I will give it a shot because I really like LTB but I gotta have my GPS.

Don't know if you tried this already, but make a nandroid of your current setup, then resore a GB ROM that you know nav works on (like bamf for instance) once in bamf, turn on nav satellite and leave on, go into rom manager and restore the nandroid you just made for this... thats what I had to do and it worked like a charm... again. i don't know if you tried this but it worked for me..

My baseband version is 1.46.00.0704w_2, 0.01.76.073_2r.... It is the newest radio that chingy provided... http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?1669-Radio-Leak-7-17-11-2.xx.xxx.x-Radio-New-Gingerbread-RUU

Thanks for the info. I was able to find a work around to get a kernel on sooner and updated to the one at the link available. Looks like it's working so far, and as long as that's resolved I think I'll be sticking with this ROM for a while.

Me too... this ROM is exellent, minus the camcorder issue (no sound), but other than that everything works great :)

I'll be interested to see how the newer radio works for you.
I had been following links from xda to download radios.
It seems they sometimes mislabel them.
It looks like I've been running on 1.39.00.0528w despite what the links said....
At any rate I'll be looking at the exact radio file name and not the zip name....
I think different radios are going to act differently in different cities regarding battery drain (at least I hope) :)
I just can't get past how 'cell standby' is always highest.
Today I went from 100 down to 20% in 9 hours. While not too bad that wasn't really using it til the last two where it went from 50 to 20%. It recharged to 99% in 1.5 hrs which sounds quirky to me because then it just sits there and takes a long time to hit 100%
Now I'm trying out the 1.39.00.0629r and hoping I get great battery time like Fatboy does.
It that doesn't work I'll try the 1.46 one.
Do any of these Devs get in there and hack the radios like they do the kernels etc?
