I'm annoyed by the battery icon in the notification tray doesn't come close to an accurate representation of remaining charge. Samsung needs an "iphone 4g type" software fix for this. lol
- The manual screen brightness setting will not stay all the way down (opening and closing the notification bar a few times will cause it to reset to a higher brightness)
There is a feature in touchwiz that swiping your finger on the notification bar from left to right will increase the brightness of the screen (right to left will decrease it). You might be doing that motion accidentally and thus increasing the brightness.
Wow, thanks. That was it entirely. Odd feature though.
it bc of the pre's charger (the walla and usb) if you still hav it use it, it will charge faster
i've had my samsung epic for a week now and i basically like the phone but have 2 rather major issues...1st i cannot use any of the voice comand features from my bluetooth and there doesn't seem to be any good apps that acutally work out there to fix this and 2nd when my bluetooth headset is connected and i'm listening to the music player through the headphone jack connected into my car stero through the aux input...all works well till i get a call.. then the call audio goes through my car speakes my bluetooth must turn off because i cannot use it to talk and the phone speaker phone doesn't work. in fact i cannot get the phone mic to work at all if the headphone aux jack is plugged in.... i have to unplug the headphone jack before i answer every phone call...really annoying! any ideas?
There has to be a fix for this. I have the same issue with mine. Its really annoying to have to unplug the mp3 cable while you are driving to answer a call and its a little dangerous.I have the same issue, it's a known entity with this phone (all Galaxy S phones I believe). It's the only line of the newer Android phones that does not allow this feature (afaik). There is less then 2 weeks left on my 30 day return period. If there is no fix by that time, the Epic goes back until an android phone I like is released that has this feature.

I come here everyday hoping to see a fix posted. It's one of those issues that some may dismiss as nominal, but to people who use this feature frequently it's a big step back not to have it.
Agreed. My Pre handled this scenario perfectly.
