Guess it depends on the person but I found the third party ones drained too much and wouldn't use them. But the oem ones were fineExactly but it works just fine. Only drain the battery lil more.

I don't think it had it originally. Thanks inffy for providing details on the aod. Hopefully OP is satisfied.
Also, I thought Mate 9 has aod ? OP did you not find that option in your Mate 9 settings?
Mate 9 didn't have aod originally. Not sure if it was added yet
Mate 9 Pro have AOD.
Yeah the battery life would suffer on the LCD of if it had aod. Although they could have copied the Moto display which should be ok for LCD.Mate 9 Pro have AOD.
Interesting. Did it use a lot of batteries?LG G6 has aod and it has a lcd display
Acceptable, imo. I wonder why Huawei couldn't do a similar implementation on the mateUses a lil. Haven't really checked how much. but I'll lose about 10-15% overnight while sleeping
Google is adding it to oreo, AfaikYah, aod is very useful . Needs to be a norm for all phone to have
Yeah this would be nice on lower end phones which don't get all the trimmings of the flagshipsYes, i heard and im so excited for it
That they do. Glad lg figured it out for the g6. Battery life was atrocious on my g4Just gotta work on battery life to make it great
