Wow. I like how the case makes the wood back look. I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures of mine. It's been so busy lately between work and dealing with snow. Only reason I'm on now is because I woke up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep.

That looks like a decent case for $10. It looks like it makes the phone a bit more grippy, however, I would rather have a case that leaves the dimple on the back open.

I have this case and I 100% agree about the dimple. However the case is cheap enough and adds jut enough protection for me! Not to mention my screen protector plays very friendly with it. So over all I gotta give it the double thumbs up even with the dimple covered! Can't go wrong with this case IMO.

I'm really having a hard time using my phone naked that I've comprised and ordered a case with silicone sides. The back of my phone is slippery and the metal sides are super slick as well. I think it is a design flaw. Coming from the nexus 4 with the rubberized sides I now realize how much I miss it. Now I'm using a blackberry q10 and am just amazed at the nice soft rubberized plastic back and the coated metal band around the phone. Feels so nice in the hand and no need for a case. Wish more Android manufacturers took more design queues from bb.

Speaking of screen protectors, has anyone found a good glass one for it?

I'm not sure about glass screen protectors, but I'm very happy with Power Support's range of screen protectors. The material is very thick for a film protector.

Very nice, thank you. I can see it is VERY clear. Do you have any issues with debris and whatnot getting in there? What about fingerprints on the clear back?

$30 is STEEP for a case like this but it looks like it is the ONLY clear case for this phone.

I am not a screen protector pro by any means but I have been happy with the Mr. Shield protector (still can't post a link, sorry) from Amazon. Takes a couple of tries to get it on right (BE PATIENT) but seems OK so far.

I definitely get fingerprints on the back of the naked tough case. Using a microfiber cloth once a day keeps it to a minimum though. Some dust gets under the case as well, but it isn't that bad. It's easy to clean.

Really? Aside from the Case Mate Naked, what is out there? I'm talking about a 100%-CLEAR back with NO weird pattern, indentations, off-color/obnoxious side-grips, etc. Just a simple, CLEAR case. That is all.

I can't post links yet, but I bought this:

MPERO SNAPZ Series Glossy Case for Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen 2014) - Clear

from Amazon.

I am seriously considering buying the Ballistic case. I love my current Diztronic case but because of my commute I think something more durable might be the way to go.

Also, should I feel bad that I don't have a screen protector?

Some people don't feel the need for one, but I personally prefer to use one. It protects against scratches and also against breakage. Believe it or not even a phone with a flexible screen protector is less likely to have screen breakage because the protector spreads the force of the impact across the entire screen instead of concentrating it on a point.

Makes sense. I didn't have one on my last phone. Usually the most impact my screen gets is when I bump my phone on a chair or my bag's plastic buckle hits it. That probably won't hurt anything, right?

My Moto X is naked. I just hate the feel of cases and screen protectors, even though I bought a few cases to try. I have dropped it a few times and I tend to bump my phone on things a LOT. So far, no problems whatsoever.

Ironically the only scratch I have on my screen happened when I was trying to put on a skinomi screen protector. There was a small bit of particulate matter stuck under the protector and when I tried to squeeze out the water from the application of the skinomi, I managed to scrape it all over the screen... Still it is only noticeable if I stick my face an inch or so from the screen under a ridiculously bright lamp, so I am not too worried.

Probably not. It takes a lot of force to shatter Gorilla Glass 3. The corners and edges are the weakest points of any glass making it the most important place to protect. That's why even a bumper case can be effective in preventing screen damage.

Yes, tons. Clear plastic, very inexpensive, no buttons, no bumper, just a clear plastic case. I bought one for $3.25 on shmEbay.
