Motorola Droid Turbo: Bugs, quirks, problems and more

Unchecking the voice privacy option does not make the earpiece louder.
I can tell you it did on mine, as well as the speakerphone volume increase. Respectfully, you can tell me all day long it doesn't..well, something did change it, and the EQ off was the first adjustment, but a day later when I unchecked the Voice Privacy box, my phone had the greatest improvement in volume. Go figure! Those were the only two adjustments I made to facilitate the volume improvement...and yes, I think it could be even better than it is right now, but it is far better than when I got it NIB from Verizon.

The only way I'll get close to 48hrs of battery is to not touch my phone at all. Usually it'll get about 20 hrs of moderate use.
Maybe I set something up wrong but it definitely starts stuttering and slowing down if not restarted every few days.
Oh and I'm also seeing the right most button's top right corner is dimmed. Not a big deal but it's something.

Wait, you have to turn off the phone every few days to get it from slowing? That doesnt sound right.

Ive read about the button thing on here before. How noticeable is it? Can u take a pic and post w a different phone?
Im looking for every reason not to get the phone...

How do I get my profile from the quick settings pull down to link up to my G+. Right now it just has my name and a blank contact picture.

I saw this tip in another thread - if the camera is laggy, make sure HDR is turned off, because it can slow down the camera. I'm not sure if it's a perfect solution, but it can't hurt.

In the Google + app, tap the menu control top right. Tap settings. Under accounts, tap you g+ account name, then contacts, then "keep contacts up to date".

I was having a different problem - out of the blue "Google Search has stopped" errors several times a day. I force stopped it in settings and then did a clear data (it takes a few seconds for clear data to be selectable after force stop), that fixed it.

Just received my 64 gig black Turbo today, 11/26/2014.

So my Moto (Voice) continuously locks up and crashes. It's now come the the point that it's stuck at the last step where it tells you "Touch the mic to finish setting up voice control". When I click on the final set up it gives me the voice options, the only selection available is "Launch Phrase" with a checkbox but you can't check anything on it. Everything else is grayed out.

I've rebooted the phone, cleared the data and cache and it hasn't worked.

Another "bug" (maybe) is the phone will not shut down while charged. Mine will only reboot. Is this working as designed?

The top right corner of right most button was the same way for me. I took it in and they replaced it. I had to buy a new screen protector though. Now the one I have has a bit of a bubble in the Nylon back.... but I didn't want to take in in again just for that after some of the return horror stories I've heard. I'll just put it in a case. But the button not lighting all the way drove me nuts.

When I try to update my apps I'm getting an error message for every single one, I also can't download new apps either.

I enabled all the apps I disabled and turned the phone off and back on, I still get the same messages.

Settings / apps. Scroll down to Google play store, tap it, wait for it to update and tap clear data and open the play store again. If that doesn't fix it go back and tap uninstall updates and see if that works.

Sorry, I haven't experienced either of these problems; I have the same phone, 3 weeks now, and it's been behaving perfectly since I got it. I suggest you do a factory data reset and then if the problems continue, swap for a new phone.

I got a droid turbo and accidentally dropped it and the screen cracked. So I called for an replacement and they sent it free of charge. Only then my texts wasnt working. I could send with no issues but I couldn't recieve it till like 30 mins to an hour later. If I reboot my phone it will start working again for a short time and then start messing up again. So I had another replacement phone shipped to me and it's doing the same thing again. Am I doing something wrong??? I use the Verizon messaging.

Rule out Verizon messaging by using the stock or google messaging app for a day and confirm if the problem persists. If it does, contact support again. Just a suggestion.

I have been trying to set up Basic or Premium Visual Voicemail with Verizon for 3 weeks and after multiple store visits and calls to technical service was just told "a patch is coming" but Verizon does not know when. Now I am being told I cannot return the phone because I am outside of the 14 day period even though I was told "not to worry - if they cannot fix this I could return it even after 14 days". Turn your Turbo in right away if you are having this problem!

Literally had my Turbo for 24 hours now. I was at the movies last night, and it fell out of my pocket. Checked the screen, and everything was fine. When I woke up and checked my phone the next morning, there were blue and purple specs covering my phone, and is continuing to get worse. Whats going on here? is this covered by the Screen Assurance policy?

Noticed over the weekend that the ram in use seems to grow over time and not release. I don't have apps running in the background I normally close them out. But powering up the phone and going in to running apps it shows it as .91GB and after two days jumps up to 1.5GB. The system does seem sluggish over time. Not sure why but google keyboard will start at about 7MB and after a day stay at around 130MB. I have uninstalled the update for the keyboard and hope that helps.

Am I understanding this wrong or is an app not playing nice maybe?

Android System has recently begun to cause a 100% wakelock on the phone, draining my battery faster than normal. Any ideas on why the Android System process would be causing a 100% wake lock? A reboot temporarily fixes the problem - it just comes back 12-14 hrs after the reboot. Tried clearing the cache as well.
