MR2 OTA Update (1.66.605.2) (Leak)

Strange Market issue after MR2 Update... so everything has been running pretty smoothly since being installed last night, definitely a lot of improvements... One thing I noticed this morning is that even though it looked like all of my Apps auto downloaded from the Market and installed, I'm missing a couple of paid Apps... I've done clear cache, data, battery pull etc. and the Market is loading the correct version. Oddly enough, even when I search for them in the Market they aren't even listed? Example: 'MLB at Bat' App, when I search for it nothing even close shows up and it's almost like I'm running a Non-US Version of the Market or maybe it doesn't see my phone as being certifed with these Apps now?? I've confirmed location settings and everything looks good.

Anyone else notice missing paid apps?
Is it possible this is not the version that will be released in the US, or do they not even make multiple stock images based on region?

I haven't bought any paid ones, but I am wondering if those apps aren't listed as supported for the TB. Try looking them on the web (from a PC) and see if the TB is a supported device. That's all I can think of.

Actually just tried that via a recommendation... went into the Market and logged in on my latop and it actually does a valdation check and shows the following message....

"This app is incompatible with your Verizon HTC ADR6400L." So even though I had them installed before on my T-Bolt, it doesn't look like theses two specific apps are updated to support the 1.66.605.2 release at this time.

I'm sure this will change in the next couple of days or after the official OTA is released next week... I'm sure I'll survive until the app support is updated :)

Concerning backup, it was Angry Birds that had me worked up as my lil one played them. Since I discovered 3in1 backup for them, she now plays the trilogy on her Galaxy.

Aside from redoing my email settings, nothing is sacred on my phone. Text, emails, and call history are unimportant.

Just make sure my apps come back (not the bloat ware) and keep my rooted features.

I am rooted and updated with this the day it was avialable... NO issues at all.. now I am running the best rom (dasBAMF 2.0-5)... seriously, my phone is running better than ever :) screw waiting for the OTA. plus im rooted anyways

From what I understand, isn't he MR2 update only for Froyo? So is there any utility in me going back to Froyo to use this update and then re-flashing dasBAMF 2.0-5 back on here?

So I updated and my GPS still sucks won't lock on at all. I do only have the standalone GPS on cuz the other ones never get it accurately

If you are still having issues, I would get a new phone. Mine locks on inside my house now! haha Love it!

There is a version of it for people who are rooted in the same link in the OP. Not sure if that is what you are looking for or not since I've not rooted.

I would not count on it. I still cant install Need for Speed:Shift on the TB since the Market states its not compatible. I have been in contact with EA about this issue.:'(

For those who cannot download certain apps (not compatible with Thunderbolt), did you try turning off your data connection and accessing the market via wi-fi? I know that that was the only way I could download PDAnet. I'm far from an expert on these types of things, but since it worked with PDAnet, it might work in these other cases also.

Does Skype Video still work after the upgrade?

No, it doesn't. And, unless you want to root, upgrading is a one way street, you cannot downgrade software, at least not without root.

Some improvements:

Data seems more stable.
GPS locks on much faster (in certain areas, i.e. not Gainesville, FL, but anywhere else I've tried)
My Verizon App is working.
Battery life seems the same? I'll have to wait and see.
Lastly, I HAVE HAD NO REBOOTS!!! :)! (but it's only been like 7 hours. Still, that's an improvement!)

A drawback is that I cannot find HBOGO and Discover in the market. While these are only two apps, someone has mentioned a few others some posts above this. Hopefully that will be fixed in a few days when the OTA update happens. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it!
