MR2 OTA Update (1.66.605.2) (Leak)

For those who cannot download certain apps (not compatible with Thunderbolt), did you try turning off your data connection and accessing the market via wi-fi? I know that that was the only way I could download PDAnet. I'm far from an expert on these types of things, but since it worked with PDAnet, it might work in these other cases also.

I had tried this with WiFi + Data, but just tried your recommendation with WiFi Only and I'm getting the same results... I'm really thinking at this point that these apps haven't updated support for our new 1.66 build..

Does Skype Video still work after the upgrade?

If you are referencing the Skype Video Leak for T-Bolt... then it's no longer working after the upgrade. Install works correctly but when loading the app I get the following error...

"Sorry, your phone is not able to use this version of Skype"

My phone won't go into bootloader for some reason... Just keeps turning on like normal. Can someone help me?

EDIT: Got it into bootloader, but not I'm not sure if it's installing the update. I've never done anything like this so I'm very confused.

How are you booting? Have you tried using the adb command "reboot bootloader"?

I'm a mega android noob. I don't even know what adb is. I just followed the directions at Droid Life for non-rooted users. It's sitting at the bootloader screen right now, and I have no idea if it's installing the update or not.

It should show a loading bar in the upper right then as if you want run the update.

It doesn't. I downloaded directly from the link on Droid Life, renamed the file to PG05IMG.zip, then dropped it on my SD card, held volume down and power until it brought up the bootloader, and then it just sits there. No bar in the upper right.

Take the .zip out of the name. The .zip should be the file extension so you don't need to type it. I did the sane thing.
