I'm thinking with Kings 11 I left the battery tweak on, that's maybe why I had such horrible battery life with it.

I had some app keeping my phone awake all the time, sooo my battery with the tweak today was not good.

Is there a way to flash back the green keyboard that comes with the Rom if you've flashed the HTC one?

You have to flash the battery tweak file in recovery.

both 1&2 will load 998 mhz. now you can do your underclocking here from #3.

I recommend everyone use preset 3 and run there own settings, I just did and I bet it will make everything last a whole lot longer.

From cpu usage, to all kinds of settings, its very easy to do.

I am getting questionable battery life from this rom running the battery tweak and using the stock Kernel. In 4.5 hours with very minimal use I went from 100% to 69%. Please advise on what settings you are using.

Add me to the list of horrible battery drain with RLS2 on the stock kernel, with and without battery tweak enabled.

Every one with horrible battery life, if you're vb using the stock kernel and haven't installed battery tweak yet, please do, and either choose preset #1, our if you are familiar with set cpu, then choose option 3 and set your own as you would with set cpu.

if you are using battery tweak and still having horrible battery life then go to market, download terminal emulator.

Open it, then type in SU to make sure it gets root access and put this in.

top -m 5 -n 1# #

and list what it says, this will show us whats draining your battery...

im having some wierd thing show up using 31% of my cpu, killing my battery in the process, and its ALWAYS on, maybe you ppl with the horrible battery life are having this issue as well.

ksoftirqd/0 is the name of the cpu killer #1 in the list.

when the phone is on the charger the kosft is not using any cpu%, but when its off the charger its running full, as of right now off the charger its running 32% for me.

this is what happens when its plugged in the charger, the ksoftirqd doesnt suck any CPU...

BUT, watch what happens when i pull the phone off the charger, THEN ksoftirqd goes back to keeping the phone awake and sucking battery/cpu...

im stuck.

i restored a old nandroid backup that was a different rom, i flashed RLS2, flashed battery tweak, setup battery tweak and the ksoftirqd/0 is back sucking battery.

i then tried disabling the battery tweak, same issue,ksoftirqd/0 running. then i removed battery tweak, same issue ksoftirqd/0 sucking battery...

i dont know what the hell is going on, but no one seems to either not know what im talking about or has no insight to this

From doing a little reading i would start to suspect it something in the kernel you are running.Have you tried switching to a different kernel if possible for the rom your running?

i been on this all night! LOL

and i think i figured out a little more.

it has EVERYTHING to do with battery tweak.

what i did is i found the stock htc kernel that comes with myn and reflashed it all was fine, that thing was not running, ill load up batt cfg,get it going and when im done with battery tweak, its back sucking my cpu.

so i removed battery tweak and it was still there running with a high load, i went ahead, reflashed the stock kernel and did NOT reflash battery tweak and it has not been up since in that list.

ive also sent a message to Myn on the forums about it.

so it seems that its here to stay after battery tweak, and will stay running even if you remove battery tweak, the only way to remove it is to reflash the stock kernel and never run the tweak again.

i wonder if anyone else is having this problem, because im hearing alot of ppl say they are not getting any better battery with this tweak, this has to be the reason why.

Can you post the Stock Kernel here so others with this Issues and read this can get it in your post...

I'm going to nand restore to my pre Battery tweak and test

Heads up the dude that helped Myn write this script answered back on XDA I responded Considering your on Myn's stock Kernel...

Here was his Message

Also should be noted that anything with the prefix of 'k' signifies that it's kernel related. Not sure if it's available in your kernel, but you can get the output of /proc/interrupts

Code:
cat /proc/interrupts
It's also important to note that you should only run this tweak on a custom kernel that has no active perflock.

This battery-tweak has been running on multiple devices already, and we have eliminate just about every bug that has been found. Hopefully this will help you. If you can list what kernel your running, that would be great to note as well so other users don't run into the problem.

In other news, just to get you guys excited, I've written a temperature management system for the next revision of this script. It's working great. I'll have it added to myn's repo by tomorrow.

So I flashed this battery tweak and I go into terminal emulator, i type SU and get super user and try to run 'batt-cfg' and I get this:

whoami: unknown uid 0
batt-cfg must be ran as root.
Press enter to attempt to run as root.
Or press 1 then enter to continue without
attempting to gain root access

I hit enter, does it again. Can anyone help? I'm just trying to configure it to 1...

Thanks a lot! Trying option 1, since a lot of you guys recommended that. Even with this stock ROM and the stock Kernel I was getting really good battery life so I'm excited to see how much better it is with this 'tweak'

Thanks again for the assistance!

so... setting one sets the phone to 1152 or something yet the HTC stock #11 kernel tops out at 998... how does that work lol

How are you guys choosing option #1 on the battery tweak? I just flash it and I've read that it automatically activates itself.

NEVERMIND.... I always read the last post of threads first. Sorry.
I am currently using the beta netarchy aggressive underclock. I dunno yet on the battery life. WIll let you guys know after a day or so.
