Netflix App works on rooted Optimus S with a quick hack

make sure also after you change the build prop that you reboot the phone first than install the netflix..most def works

Yea done that.. still no go on my end. and the build is verified as G2

That would be me. It works fine for me however it DOES NOT work on either my mom's or brother's Optimus S.

It totally work for me, running Reborn v1.0 (Nameless Rom), except it has a green bar running across the top of the video. Otherwise, it's golden.

I've got a green bar on top as well. Used sirrx7's instructions on AndroidForums to set it up as a Nexus One.

Anyone think that's some sort of Stagefright issue? I know I've got Stagefright DISabled, and I've still got that bar.

It's an unsupported device so no complaining about green bars.

Just had an idea and I may be totally off here (most likely), but do the ones that don't work not have the new lcd? I doubt it has anything to do with it,but just a thought. Like drewwalton said as well....no complaints from me since I have an unsupported device and it's working. I don't care about the green bar. However, I did notice that when I was on aospCMod the green bar was not present. There are no setting for stagefright in the aospCMod build.prop. It uses opengles.

i'll test this. i currently have it disabled and have the green bar. i'll enable it and report back

Its been tested and green bar is STILL there with or without Stagefright just FYI

I used these settings and STILL doesnt work. There has to be something else that its looking for....

It might have to do with having Gingerbread v. Froyo, unless Optimus V users are reporting without green bars, then maybe it's some other difference between phone models.

I wondered about the LCD thing but mine (and my mom's and brother's) has the original LCD before the switch.

Works for me on RebornROM v2.0. Green line visible, but I can deal.

Netflix working well on mine however green bar and funny colors throughout...running factory VD with gingerbreak...also have original LCD screen.
