Confirmed with other V users and myself running aospCMod there is no green line.
Do you know of any Optimus V users not on aospCMod who are running it w/o the green bar?

use a root explorer... edit and save build.prop from /system/build.prop. save and exit. If it worked you can go back and view it and see the changes... Then reboot system. Double check ABOUT PHONE to see the changes took affect after rebootSorry for the newbie question, but how do you edit build.prop? I see the lines that need to be changed, but I am unclear on how I actually go in and change them. Thanks.

Could you update your directions to mine? This is working and the first post can be confusing.... IMOGood News, Everyone: Trick The Netflix App Into Thinking Your Rooted Device Is Supported | Android News, Reviews, Apps, Games, Phones, Tablets, Tips, Mods, Videos, Tutorials - Android Police
Above link has a slick way to get Netflix working on our Optimus S phones. I tried it out and it works great! I've streamed 20 minutes or so and am convinced it works well.
Here's the meat of it (beware, it might break things):
Root is required. Make a Nandroid backup!
Change the following lines in /system/build.prop to make your phone think it is a HTC G2:
1. ro.product.model=HTC Vision
2. ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
Install the netflix apk (if you haven’t already)
Enjoy
you need to have both root options turned on in settings
after editing the build prop swype thinks you are trying to use a keyboard configured for the optimus on the type of phone you changed the build prop tofor some reason either way makes my swype freak out and think it's installed on the wrong type of phone. and is reduced to limited functionality.
