Has anyone gotten the camera to work???

no ive tried, and with the current 5-16 build ive noticed something, on this build it installs camera version 1, on the previous build it was some different version, and also when you try to add a alarm it force closes

Both of these, and workarounds, have been discussed on the xda thread.

Camera: LG Optimus V What Works - ROMRepo

Alarm: xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][WIP][ALPHA] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7+ (Gingerbread)

Appears you don't know how to search, which you really need to learn. Much easier and faster than relying on others IMO. This took me about 2 minutes!

Thanks for smart @@$ reply..... Already seen this link... I have 20110516 w/ the blue pill.
I cant get the camera menu... Also now when I push camera button the phone will auto reboot. Think I'm going back to Reborn Rom till Camera & Bluetooth are fixed... Everything else worked great!!
Thanks for all the info

LOL! One tip on searching is to type correctly! "@@$"

"I have 20110516 w/the blue pill." I don't know what this means. Please explain, because these fixes are working fine on my customized aosp 20110516.

The Blue Pill from 1st Post in this thread....
Does your bluetooth work??
I Flashed -> aospCMod-VM670-20110516-signed then gapps-gb-20110325-signed then normal-signed (blue pill)
I might try flashing again.... I really liked this ROM

You're right, LOL!

I cook my own aosp rom with, I'm guessing, most of these edits in my build.prop, as well as the home/menu swap. So no post flashing blue or red pills on my end. My BT has the typical problems of all 2.3.4 builds, but since I don't use a headset, it doesn't bother me. Other BT functionality that I do use seems to work fine.

I suggest you try and clear everything in recovery again and reflash before reporting issues in here. Once you reflash, test the camera then flash the (blue pill) again and test. You should have the same results before and after taking the pill. I have tested all three and have no issues with my camera using the workarounds listed.

Straight to the point. Typing from my phone. No offense intended.

UPDATE: These files work properly with the 2010516 build and will reflect that info. You can use these files still and I plan on updating them and providing more options for us Optimus S users for the new build of 20110523.

UPDATE: Files now reflect 20110523 build and a couple other little things. I removed the boot image to save some space. It's flashable as an option now if one would like to keep the "android" loading screen. Enjoy!

for netflix cant we just install the no device check apk of netflix instead of doing the red bill?

Sure. The main reason I do it this way is so that I have the most recent version and most up to date features whereas that file may or may not. I can't speak for that file, but both ways work. I'm loving my Netflix!

Thought I'd bring this up here, apparently this is a new feature with the latest nightly release - selective app permissions. Seems to work as advertised with this aosp build. Amazing. And of course, many thanks to basketthis for keeping this great project alive on our phones.

This is a great feature to this ROM! I figured it out by playing around with it earlier r. Took away internet access from angry birds as a test and had no issues. :) Thanks. Enjoy.
