Network Extender on Verizon

Hello All,

I read the Note 9 manual but did not see this anywhere...

Is there an icon in the status bar when the Note 9 is using a network extender?

On other phones it is usually a small house icon with waves emanating from the top.

How do I know the extender is being used, aside from subjective call quality?

Edit: For the new 4g extender you can hit #48 but I still have the 3g extender for the next week or two.

My 3G VZW network extender didn't work on any of my 4G phones. I forget which Note it was that I had to call to get it swapped (no charge) and one added to my acct for another family member (also no charge).

The symbol on my phone is in the pics below. (I'm pretty certain #48 worked on both the 3G and 4G extenders.)

Many thanks for taking the time to send a screen shot.

My HTC 10 and the Samsung S9s can use the 3G extender... they have the same icon showing the extender in use.

But I did not see it at all on my Note 9.

I have the 4G extender coming tomorrow... so I have high hopes. I just need this for voice calls since WiFi calling does not work on this unlocked phone.

Good to know the icon is the same.

Just received the Network Extender 2 and it works fine. I get the same icon that you have and the #48 report is positive.

Glad it's working. Soooo much less stress in the house with a full signal, lol!
