New MR 2.5 Radio Leak

Nice. Even more gooder. Try tomorrow.

I flashed it last night & so far there's not much difference. It's stable which is good but hasn't made my signal any stronger than the MR2

This radio will not flash for me and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm running the full, unrooted MR2 leak and I've checked the checksums on this new radio. When I go into hboot the phone checks the file but will not flash. No error is given, I'm just dumped back to the hboot screen.

** edit **

folks on xda tell me i have to be rooted to install this update. looks like i'll be waiting for the full, unrooted ruu.

Did you rename the file to PG05IMG.ZIP?

Is it possible that this radio won't install in HBOOT without S-Off?

Some are claiming better speed tests. I'm going to try it here shortly.

I've never done a speed test on any radio I've used. I usually just judge the reception based off performance & load times. I'm on 3G now at work when I had 4G yesterday on the MR2, maybe the switching from 3G to 4G will be improved. Or it could all be placebo... :)

People are starting to report reboots again on this leak so I'm holding off. MR2 is doing just fine for me

New leaked radio for the ThunderBolt. They're calling it MR 2.5

According to the post on xda, this radio is for Gingerbread ROMs based on the alpha leak and Froyo ROMs based on MR 2/2.5 code ONLY.

[Radio] [Leak] [6-16-11] MR2.5 Radio - 1.39.00.0528w, 0.01.69.0602w_1 - xda-developers
I have been running the MR2.5 radio all morning and have no problems, of course I have not had any problems on the previous radios either. Speeds seem to be faster so far and connection seems a bit more stable.

So I'm at work 4G... ran a few speed tests before 2.5, got around 6-7 down which is fairly normal depending on the day... on the new one.... dun dun dun..... 9.7, 8.9 10.6, 12.1, 12.4, 5.8 ahh, 8.8, 9.1 stupid speed tests, lol.

So maybe there is something to it, maybe not.

Just had my first reboot, going back to MR2 now

Noooooooo... (not that your goign back, that you had a reboot) I haven't had a random reboot in weeks, let me test this bad boy out.

I didn't have a reboot since the first GB radio was leaked, those damn .5 leaks, I should've known better

I haven't had one reboot on MR2, I am holding off for now... No need to mess with perfection :) plus, i want to see what others report in the next few days.... ;)

No reboots, been running since this morning. I'll certainly post if I get one.
