Nexus 4: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I'm having this same problem and 3 different Net10 reps couldn't help me! the APN settings are all correct,
Name: NET10
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: none
APN type: internet + mms

Now I don't have a place under APN type to put default, admin, fota, mms, supl, hipri. the only options available are 1) internet + mms, 2) internet, or 3) mms. and that's it. So now I don't know what to do. all the mms settings are enabled (delivery reports, read reports, auto-retrieve, roaming auto-retrieve, and mms alert). Also, i cleared my memory cache and deleted most of my messages, probably have like 10 messages left in the phone, so there has to be enough memory for them to load..

I tried handcent and gosmspro, neither worked for me. :( took out the sim and cleaned it. nothing. took out the battery like 6 times, nothing. i can access the internet via data, wifi works, i get other sms messages. can send mms messages, just can't receive. so not frustrating whatsoever. :-/

can anyone help me?! please! i doubt Net10 will send me a new SIM, they kinda suck as a company and keep saying it is my phone's settings. which it isn't. and i really don't want to buy another one of their sims, on principal. am about thisclose to switching to somewhere else, but not having a guarantee that mms will work then makes me kinda cautious about going to all the trouble and spending the extra money..

Try changing your MMS Proxy to what I changed it to above.

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I do not have an option for the APN type on my Blu life one device please help

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I have a blu studio 5.0 and I just figures out that for MMS proxy you must put 66.209.11.33 NOT mms3.tracfone.com. apparently it makes a difference. Also make sure under type it is default, supl, and MMS. All of those. Everything else is how it says on net10's website. Or at least for me.

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I tried this on his s3 and my note 2 mms receiving failed.

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

HTC ONE X tried all of that settings still no luck!! I got 4G Lte and can send mms, but can not receive them!?

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

Verizon branded galaxy s3 sch 1535 now on net10 with version 4.1.2.. Net10 gives NEW MEIN with sim. Spent two days on this but finally got it right. Now everything works.
First I did a factory reset: go into settings, back up and reset, factory data reset. (Please know you lose all settings, data, contacts etc).

After it restarts,
Set to global: settings, more, mobile network mode, global.

Enable mobile data: settings, more, mobile network, be sure box is checked.

Change global data roaming access: settings, more, mobile networks, global data roaming access, allow access for all trip.

Add apn: settings, more, mobile networks, access points names
click menu on bottom left of screen and choose add new access point.

Name: net10
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: 66.209.11.33
Port: 80
MMSC: http:/mmsc.Cingular.com
MMS proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS port: 80

Dont change or enter anything in any other setting. Leave it not set or unspecified or ipv4 or apn enabled.

Restart phone, turn off WiFi and start web surfing and sending pic msgs

This all assumes you have an active data plan and sim with net10.

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I have a nexus 4 just switched to net10. I'm regretting this now. I can send text and mms messages. I can't get any from anyone on a diffrenet network.... net10 support is usless they say its everyone else phone since i can get messages from them and myself.
my apn setting;
Name: net10
APN: tfdata
proxy: not set
Port:80
username: notset
password: not set
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
authentication type: not set
APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri
APN Protocol: ipnv4
APN Roaming protocol: ipv4
bearer: unspecified
MVNO type: none

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

This actually worked for me:
Here's the APN settings:

Name: net10
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri
I also downloaded handcent and manually imputed the MMS settings.

Then I changed my monthly plan and Net10 changed my APN settings and now I can't send MMS messages I can only receive them. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini on an AT&T sim card. I tried to change my APN setting to how I had them but still can't get it to work. Net10 customer support is no help and it’s frustrating because I had it working.

I'm also trying to fix my husband’s phone that has similar problems, he can send MMS messages but he can't receive them. He has a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini on a T-Mobile sim card.

Just an FYI that T-Mobile and AT&T sim cards have different APN settings. So if you have a T-Mobile sim card the AT&T APN settings that are recommend here will not work on your phone.

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I had the same issues with my phone, I discovered there is another texting app on my phone called hangouts. I had to turn the sms on in that program and them my stock messaging started receiving picture text..

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS

I had the same issue for over 2 weeks. Net 10 customer support told me they could not help me , that I had to search the internet it was my phone and not their sim or service. I began searching tried every apn out there people suggested and I still could not receive picture message. I discovered that on my phone I had another messaging app along with the stock messaging. I opened it up , it asked if I wanted to turn on the sms , I said yes and now , I CAN RECEIVE PICTURE MESSAGES..... hope this helps someone in their frustration.....

Re: Net10, can send MMS but can not receive MMS
