Nexus 5 not starting up or show charging, screen remain black, appear dead

[AC Question]

Nexus 5 was stuck in boot loop, wiped the cache. System asked for a restart, after clicking on restart phone stops charging or showing anything on screen. Phone appears dead.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you press and hold Power for about 15-20 seconds?

nothing happens, screen remain as is. Also it doesn't show icon for charging.

The bootloop might have been the precursor to a total failure of the motherboard, then. Not sure if there's anything you can do, short of replacing the motherboard.
