Nexus sales banned - do I get mine?

IDK, I guess I could have went that route. I got so familiar & comfortable with having CWM installed and doing everything from there. It's running really well and I like it a lot. I haven't put the phone down yet, since I posted about receiving it.

Thanks for that info. I'm still pondering which method I'll use. Apparently there are several good choices.

Hey everyone

I ordered my Nexus on the 3rd - got my shipping confirm and UPS tracking# but when I click on the tracking # (it's been over 24 hours, like the email warns) I get zilch. Just says they created a ticket.

I am so worried that I won't get my phone because of the ban?! Would they hold shipment of a phone that's been already sold?

Edit; nevermind - UPS just dated, delivery tomorrow!

I ordered mine on the third as well. I have an order number, but have not received any shipping information yet. I am taking the holiday for the 4th into consideration, but I hope I hear something Friday.

Are you guys talking about when the brightness it set all the way to the bottom that it casts purpleish? If so, I look at that as sort of a "night mode" when that really dark tint would be desirable. I notice as soon as I bump it up just slightly "normal" colors instantly return.

But maybe you guys are experiencing more purple than I am. Because I only notice the purple when the brightness slider is set to "0" - which I think I would like to have that option.

Hasnt bothered me so far. put my sim in without an adaptor until the one i ordered from amazon comes in. Been uploading my apps and all that. Enjoying the phone so far.

And in regards to screen defects are the only problems the purple tint issues? I'm just so afraid I'll discover dust or smudges under my screen (like was the case with my iPad). I've read that it's pretty much impossible because of the Super Amoled screens.

Only problems? No. I have heard about blotches of other colors where they don't belong and other distortions. Have yet to hear about dust under the screen.

I ordered my GNex on Sat 6/30 at 10:54pm and got a order confirmation on 7/2 at 3:31pm. I received my GNex today from UPS just after lunch. Yo be honest, I may end up buying a 2nd one after the ban is lifted. BTW, I have been using iPhones since August 2007.

Ordered mine Sunday after learning about the injunction, it became that much more interesting. Just got it today and coming from a one x, vanilla ICS is so much cleaner. ZERO bloatware and no eyesore screen elements. The calendar app is superior, clean and fast. The REAL multitasking intended for ICS is way more effective and switching apps is more efficient because it shows more of them on screen. Sense 4 fills the entire screen with one giant picture of the app in the task manager.

I had my Captivate rooted with CM7 on it, and that was a huge upgrade from the bloaty Samsung TouchWiz... Now this being plain and clean straight out of the box. Man, it's so nice.

There are some elements from CM that I wish I had... Namely the power options on the notifications pane. Anybody know of a good way to get custom power options there, other than flashing a ROM? Not really interested in flashing with the Nexus.

Just switched from 4S to Nexus.

Loving it! First android, already flashed it to Jelly Bean.

Can't wait to get into modding this thing

...someone who jailbroke every generation iphone and hasnt had a phone since.

Plus, I still have my iPad3 (for iOS stuff)

Question.....my niece is staying with me for the summer , she is over from Ireland. If I bought her as Galaxy Nexus when the ban is lifted would the phone work when she goes back to Ireland in September?

If yes could she use a pre paid sim card?

If I buy her the phone I guess I would get her a Straight Talk card for here.

Looks like the GNex has been pulled from Amazon as well as the Play Store. Did a search at Amazon and using Google to search the Amazon store and didn't get anything other than 404s for either. Even the Verizon and Sprint versions are gone.

Was going to buy from Amazon with a credit I've got coming...oh well, guess I'm waitin' :'(

And con5150, the Gnex should absolutely work in Ireland. It is unlocked and should have all the bands she would ever need on any gsm carrier. So I am pretty confident she would be fine.

I am in the same situation. I ordered mine on the third and I have the e-mail with the order number, but nothing since. I think with the Holiday this week, it may not ship until Monday.
