They finally replied. I guess that's it. I guess it'll come with the Nexus 7 (maybe same week).

I would want an answer on why it wasn't shipped in June when you originally ordered it. Of course it won't ship now, but if you ordered back in June, it should have come even before mine - and I ordered like four days after you did!
I would guess that its built in sensor used by nav etc. There are a ton of play store apps if you want a compass application.
Ordered 3p.m. PST today. Will udate wih the order progress.

Good luck. I ordered mine on July 3rd, before the injunction was put into place. Apparently, they borked my order. I just got off the phone with Play Store support for the third time since Friday. The first two calls, no one could tell me why I hadn't received any shipping information. The e-mail I received from the Play Store showing the order has my correct shipping address. The Transaction item in my Wallet account shows my correct shipping address. However, their internal system showed my shipping address as a garbled mess and letters and numbers. I have been "elevated" to the next level of support.
I hope this isn't an example of how ordering from Google will be in the future.
I have ordered from NJ, on 8 July, Sunday. No shipping information yet. However i mailed to Google about status but no response either. Anyone got Gnex living near NJ or any response from Google about shipping?
Just ordered the nexus on last Sat. Got the email receipt but no other info yet. Hope the legal battle won't involve us as a victim. By the way, I lived in NJ. I thought a lot of us on the same boat. Just called google, been told no definite date for shipping at this time. So I decide to wait till next week to check the status of this order.

Ordered one for my niece who came out from Ireland to help with our son for the summer holidays.....it's her b/day Monday...... just before I clicked process order I called to confirm what users here have told me about usage in Ireland......no problems at all he said......she is going to be delighted to say the least.

I want to pull the trigger already and just order it. I just hate playing the waiting game for

As of right now, yes, you'll just be waiting. But there is no harm in placing an order. Unless you just want to wait to order when you know it'll ship right away.

I feel the same, but I threw an order in hoping that it will ship sooner than if I waited. I figured that the orders must be stacking up so it will take them a while to get through them all when they do start shipping again. Kinda guessing that their estimate of 1-2 weeks is based on when the order comes in, not necessarily when the update is ready. They probably have a target date to start shipping soon, but it might take 2 weeks to get to the later orders. Just a guess

I called google play and they said that because the nexus 7 hasn't started shipping, my galaxy nexus will ship only when the nexus 7 is ready to ship, since I had them in the same order. Does this sound normal to you? I am kinda screwed now because I leave town on Sunday and I don't see the nexus 7 arriving in time.

So, I had two pending transactions from Google (Gnex and Nex7) on my bank account, now they have disappeared. No complete status, just gone...

forever29, I had the same thought process as cdjh. I put my order in on Sunday. If you know you want this phone, then I would go ahead and order it. One thing you can know for certain is that the longer you wait to order it, the longer it will take to receive it. If you wait until there is no shipping delay, you will be getting it later than if you ordered now, since by that time, all the current orders will have shipped or will ship before you order is processed. If you are unsure if you want it because you need a new phone by a specific date, then you can wait until it gets closer to that date to see if the shipping is current. But it sounds from your post that it's just the unknown part that bothers you. In that case, it doesn't make sense to wait since you're just causing yourself further delays. There's also the small possibility it could be taken down again if you don't order now. I really don't see that happening since they're taking care of the potentially "infringing" software, but there's no guarantees.

Different banks/credit card companies have different periods for pending transactions to stay active. Yours may just have expired - this would not affect your purchase at all. You can always call google to make sure your order was not cancelled if you have concerns.

Well, it does sound normal since you ordered them to come in one shipment - otherwise you would not have been saving shipping by ordering them together. You can call and ask if you can pay extra shipping to have it shipped separately, but first make sure they have one to ship you in time for you to get it by this weekend. I would not count on that so make sure they can tell you for sure before trying to change your order.
