Ok here we go, this is full of good info right here:
(and it's very long)
Kristopher: Thank you for choosing VZW.com Presales Support. My name is Kris, I'd be happy to assist you with your order today! May I have your name please?
Scott Attula: Scott
Kristopher: Hi! How can I help you tonight, Scott?
Scott Attula: I'm thinking about buying the Droid Bionic (whenever it gets released) but I'm interested in how my account would work. If I ordered (or went into a store) and bought it on contract, since I'm not the account holder, would I get the NE2 discount?
Kristopher: Officially the 8th!
Scott Attula: That's what I've been hearing.
Kristopher: No, you would just get you the two year price, no word on what that will be though.
Kristopher: (That's official, barring a Motorolla delay.)
Scott Attula: I've heard $300, you guys still have the Charge up for $300, so I would expect you to sell this phone for the same premium price.
Scott Attula: But that answers my main question...guess I'll have to scrounge up what money I have and hope for a cheaper price
Kristopher: That's what I am thinking, 299.99.
Kristopher: (early x-mas present)
Scott Attula: Or birthday...since my birthday is in November
Scott Attula: what's up with the countdown timer on the Droid Does Page though? Is that when we'll see pricing or is that just to annoy me while I wait for it to come out?
Kristopher: Mine too, 13th, you?
Scott Attula: 21st
Kristopher: Haven't seen it yet, been in the site all night. Kid's sitting next to me, his is the 21st too.
Scott Attula: Oh cool. Well I guess I'll find out when that timer hits zero tomorrow.
Scott Attula: Now if I buy the phone at a Verizon store, in the past my phone has come with discounted accessories, will I see anything like that? Or just drop $300 and then another bunch on the docks, battery, and case that I need.
Kristopher: I think it's the "Unvail"
Kristopher: Actually you will get the best deal online.
Kristopher: Maybe the same price, but with no mail in rebate you get to keep more in your pocket.
Scott Attula: Yeah, I was expecting them to post some of those specs tomorrow when the countdown timer hits zero, hopefully a price too.
Scott Attula: Online then? I've heard Costco will have a cool deal, and Amazon usually does as well. Wonder how that will stack up to buying it straight from you guys?
Kristopher: Hang on, I have a schpeil on 3rd party sellers.
Scott Attula: I thought you would lol
Kristopher: When you purchase through a third party sales group, they have their own contract and can have their own terms and conditions, that are totally separate from your VZW contract.
Scott Attula: I already understood that, that's why they sell it cheaper
Kristopher: Yeah, they can play a little loose with the rules if you will.
Scott Attula: Like I think if you cancel your contract they add an extra like $100 on top of the early termination fee
Kristopher: That may be when we start pre-orders too.
Scott Attula: I've heard you will start pre-orders tomorrow...but a lot of people are saying no pre-orders at all.
Kristopher: Yeah it would depends on how long is left on it.
Kristopher: I think they are going to with the success of the D3.
Kristopher: (Notice still on backorder)
Scott Attula: I was thinking about pre-ordering the Bionic online, but Costco has a cool deal apparently on a home dock, car dock, and an extra battery. I was thinking about looking at that first, before I jump the gun and order it from Verizon or Amazon (I need to check over their contract again, I didn't really like what I was seeing offhand)
Scott Attula: Oh and yes, I saw that the Droid 3 was on backorder, no idea how my friend ended up getting one. It was a big success even though I didn't see any marketing for it. Kind of strange, I think this phone will be the same way since everyone's been waiting on it since January lol
Kristopher: Yeah their price will be with a contract too.
Scott Attula: a Verizon contract on top of theirs
Kristopher: And I think that's part of the reason the Bionic will get the preoder treatment.
Scott Attula: Well I'm hoping to see that pre-order start tomorrow, I heard a lot of people getting their Droid 3s early with overnight shipping. Maybe then that'll give me an idea of what people are thinking about the device before I blindly go out and buy it. Then again, my other alternative to it is the Droid 3, which is on backorder so it all depends on how impatient I am
Scott Attula: Well, Bionic or I've heard rumors of a Nexus device on Verizon, but I don't have an patience to wait another 3 months to hear about it lol.
Kristopher: Can't confirm. Sorry.
Scott Attula: I wasn't expecting a confirmation. Google hasn't even told us when Ice Cream Sandwich will actually be available, I think. Maybe they told us October, I don't know
Kristopher: God, that sounds good.
Kristopher: Yeah, they keep this room pretty dim, when it comes to info.
Scott Attula: Lol I bet! I'm actually surprised that you said the Bionic was confirmed for the 8th, there's nothing on the site, it's only partly confirmed on the Droid Does website, and obviously lots of leaked stuff like everything else
Kristopher: Just got that today.
Kristopher: Yeah, take them all with a grain of salt.
Scott Attula: Yeah I know, they said August 4th a while back lol. I always am a little skeptical of the rumors. But it's good to know it's confirmed for the 8th now, I have friends that want to pick this thing up too, so they'll be happy to hear that
Kristopher: Send them my way Scott!
Scott Attula: I sure will. You're going to have a lot of really happy nerds next thursday.
Kristopher: I'm hoping! (Yeah I'll have to learn up on it...can't just breeze over answers with those guys)
Scott Attula: I didn't ask any questions that I knew you wouldn't be able to answer lol. I could've easily dropped a ton of weird questions on you.
Kristopher: And trust me I appreciate that!
Scott Attula: Oh, I forgot, does it come with the 4G SIM card if I order online? And do I have to pay extra for one?
Kristopher: As far as I know you will get it with the phone.
Scott Attula: Alright good, I know some other GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile make you buy a SIM card, and they have like several different sizes now...and it just becomes a huge pain lol. That's why I kind of like Verizon a little better, the only SIM cards I see are the 4G SIM cards

Kristopher: Yeah...them...
Scott Attula: And they charge more too >.<
Kristopher: It comes in a little credit card like thing, clips into the card when not in use.
Scott Attula: Alright cool.
Scott Attula: Well thank you, I don't think I have any more questions unless you want to tell me something I don't know?
Kristopher: Youmean you are out of round one questions?
Scott Attula: Yeah at this point, I've been able to research all the info I need except for those questions

Scott Attula: Well that I know I need at least
Kristopher: I'm sure you'll get more as time gets closer, and that's cool, we're here to help, and I should know more by then too.
Scott Attula: Good to hear, Motorola and Verizon have been keeping this dark for months.
Kristopher: Yeah they have.
Scott Attula: Well I guess I should say goodbye and get some work done before bed, thank you so much for helping me
Kristopher: My pleasure! And enjoy, and happy birthday, I tend not to run into people twice in this gig!
Scott Attula: There probably aren't a lot of you, with this economy so there's always a possibility
And don't go lurking me since I haven't had time to delete my last name yet.
