Note 4 Is there a 1080p and 1440p play option on youtube?

I, as well, only had 720p yesterday.....but this morning...1440p....weird but glad it is working (for the time being).

After Verizon's update recently, and utube updates, I'm getting 1440P again.

I got it 1080 and 1440 back too!
I enabled the YT app, cleared cache and data, then installed the updated version.

Have rooted note 4. Old youtube version doesnt work anymore. So i did the steps on page 4 and it worked. 1080p is on my note 4. I ironically rooted just to watch 1080p on YouTube. Thanks for the simple fix.

I did the whole song and dance with YouTube app manager, restarted my phone, and still nothing higher than 720p.

I wonder why some of us get 1440P while others are stuck with 720P. It's the same phone. Who do you guys think is to blame for this debacle, Samsung or Google?. My money is on Google.

So I think I may be seeing a theme here. Can everyone state again their carrier and if the 1080 and 1440 options are there? I'm seeing a lot of at&t users say they don't have the options and I, as well, am on at&t and have tried every step/process I can find to try to fix this. Hope its not at&t.

I think you might be right rvhs03. Mine is AT&T as well and only getting 720p at best, never seen anything better, but I have hi-speed wifi , no reason I shouldn't get it. Sort of like how AT&T screwed us on headphones too... Seems like a pattern emerging and not for the better.

Yea don't get me started on at&t. I tweeted their tech support and they are "looking into it". Who knows. They were very helpful when I couldn't get 4.4.4 to download on my wife's old s4 so we shall see.

Mine has suddenly started allowing me to watch videos at 1080 and 1440p The only thing that has changed is the software update that I installed the other day. On Three UK here, so I think it does seem to be related to the phones software as much as the YouTube client.
