Note 8 to iPhone X?

Don't sellers look at habitual trader ins and returns who work the system and abuse the terms?

I'm pretty sure that's not what he's doing. There are a lot of people that buy and sell on sites like swappa.com on a regular basis. They like to experience a lot of different phones so they buy, sell and trade on sites like that.

For those that don't do that, you can get some great deals if you buy from someone that does that. They sell the phone for a lower price and 9/10 it's in like new condition and has all original accessories and box. I buy and sell on there too but only 1-2 times a year now.

It's all about the stylus. That's where Apple really dropped the ball.
They pioneered the stylus and handwriting recognition in the Newton and then dumped it.

That is why I am here. Apple Newton. Once Apple has an iPhone Apple Pencil, then I will evaluate again.

of course you don't know it is in your pocket, because 1250 quid was out it first so lots of room left :-)

I don't think you need to be a "techie" to not like that you can't put a flippin icon where you want it!! F..apple

Although I still have my Note 8, I haven't used it as my daily phone since buying it on launch. It's just too big in it's Otterbox case so I was using my S8+ all this time. I've been in no hurry to buy a smaller case for it.

I ordered a new 256GB iPhone 7 Monday and got it on Tuesday. It's my new favorite phone and I have it paired to the BT in my car now. I always liked the music player better on iOS then what I could find on Android. As for the iPhone 8 and X, never!

Even though I still like Android phones, I've never given up using an iPhone. I have three Apple watches paired up with my iPhone 6S+. I would use the watches with my new 7+ but my 7+ shipped with iOS 10.2.1 and I kind of want to keep it there for awhile.

This thread makes me want to upgrade my SE to an iPhone 8 plus. Mainly, to gain more screen and possibly to make my SE (sidekick to my S8) my daily driver. (I carry 2 phones at all times).

Though it makes me rethink if a couple hundred warrants the heavier glass back 8plus over the 7plus.

Swapping back to iPhones often I can see it easily doable without much headache because you have apple cloud backup to restore from and in my experience puts back everything perfectly from the last save point.

Swapping to Androids would be a pain for me cause I would set up manually apps and all. Do you have a backup for Android you use and find relatable or do you just keep you phones “lite?”

Having a quirk on my Note recently and resetting is an option but dressing the work to do it... if it was an iPhone I’d just erase and restore from cloud backup in minutes.

You don't have to "buy" it - but I buy / sell / trade all the time. I have already had the iPhone 8 plus twice , note 8 twice and iPhone 8 once since they have come out - for instance.

I use Nova to make it consistent should I need to swap devices (android to android, of course).

I have two SEs and didn't really use either one for all that long. I think the display is just too small for a phone even though that's the size that original started out and I still have my 5S.

I chose to but the 7+ over the 8+ simply because it was about $100 less and I was still able to get the 256GB model. Other then wireless charging, there really wasn't a lot of difference between the 7+ and the 8+.

The bummer part is apple wised up and stopped the 7+ in 256gb and cut down to 128gb.
So pretty much it is
7+, 128gb for $769 or
8+, 256gb for $949
Oh yeah, plus tax!!

The original iPhone thru the 4s were 3.5 inches. The 5 thru SE are 4 inches.

I remember that now. It wasn't a huge increase in size so I kind of forgot about it and it's been so long since I had anything earlier then my old 5S.

The 3 and 4 iPhones were tiny!! At the time we didn't realize it though. I remember getting the S2 Skyrocket with a 4.5 screen instead of the 4s and thinking it was huge!!

Not really. The only thing that kinda sucks is my wife and 2 kids are all Apple. So no FaceTime, iMessage, AirDrop any more. Not a huge deal, but it was super convenient when I was on Apple as well.

Honestly, all the features of the Note 8 Trump the Apple ecosystem for me. The Note 8 is way more fun and I love being able to make it my own.
Hopefully they will be willing to download Skype, whatsapp, fb messenger etc.. to do video calls with you

I would absolutely hate doing that lol. It takes me minimum 3-5hrs to get my phone setup just right! Once a yr at most is enough for me! Lol
I think most techies prefer Android but I don't agree that most Android users are techies. Many Android users can't afford iPhones and go for less expensive Android phones, not flagships.
