Nougat updates (downgrades) S Note to cr*ppier version

Been fighting this awful S Note update ever since going back to my N5 after the Note 7. A few times, even tho I had auto updates OFF in the Google play store AND in the Galaxy App store, it would still get updated with this awful version (Dec '16). I've uninstalled the update every time. Many features are removed, it's terribly disorganized, very much like Samsung Notes on the N7 was meant as an "upgrade" to S Note.

Now after the update to Nougat, which I cannot stand, S Note was updated. However, now the update cannot be uninstalled. Neither can I install the .apk to the previous S Note version. I saw it asked elsewhere, but with no reply yet, can the "upgrade" to Nougat be uninstalled?

Samsung reported when the Note 7 was launched here in Canada that an update would be addressed to go back to the original software like in Note 5 . I called Samsung Canada again and they are aware of many complaints like yours. Hopefully the Note 8 will launch with the original software.
