[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

When I go to clockwork I get a message stating that a couple of the bitmaps aren't available. Is this normal?

yeah, that's fine

This is my 3rd day using SC2.4 and it was working great!! BUT!!!! all of sudden now its acting lil bit werid.....
I called out and I heard werid noisy sound and it was continued while I was talking to that person.

was the screen on? The froyo roms have a bad habit about having a weird hiss/buzz if you take you head away from the phone enough for the screen and soft touch buttons to come on.

Yes it's normal. Same question was asked just two pages back in this thread in post #917, and answered just one page back in post #927

If the OFFICIAL FROYO comes!!! then what would you experts think I should use??? Official Froyo vs. whatever the newest custom rom that u guys built?

You are fine vjoaquin, this new red cwm works for both voodoo and nonvoodoo. You get those E: messages because you are on a nonvoodoo kernel. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks, Landshark. Had me worried there. And please, call me Vince. "vjoaquin" is my father's name. :) Well, I guess it is mine too, but who's counting?

Have a great weekend, and thanks for all of the help!

You're welcome Vince. Have a great weekend as well. I am working on a how-to thread so everyone can get their phones to boot directly into the new red cwm and not have to deal with stock blue recovery (2e) and take the extra step of apply sdcard:update.zip. This new red cwm does not have those E: messages. Any other questions feel free to come back here and ask, and you can come back periodically and check out the forums to pick up some tricks, tips, and learn about potential bugs.

Perfect, you are all set. Just wanted to make sure because there have been people with different baseband and build numbers and didn't want you to run into any problems related to that when you root.

Hey Landshark, when I plug the phone in via USB, should i turn off mass storage settings? Is there anything else I need to do with USB? I thought I saw something earlier about debugging...

hit menu soft key go =>settings=>applications=>manage applications=>all, scroll to market and click on it. you will see some grey boxes. Two of those boxes are marked clear data and clear cache. If the clear cache one is lit up, press it.

Gave you the same answer in the other thread.

I thought I replied already; the option is greyed out. Would it need to be wiped from a fresh install though? I flashed via odin, then booted to cwm red and did a wipe of data and cache.. but the problem still remained. However, it seems to only be for one string I've searched for lol. "Music Box Pro", nets these foreign results. Before flashing to EB01, I was on stock 2.1, and I got the proper results with that search string. Weird.

Wanted to give a huge thanks to ALL of you guys!!!! Adrenylyne, DroidXcon, Landshark (your tip on getting the phone to connect worked great!), Cory. I loaded 2.4 superclean and think I like it alot I use mostly whats on there and not alot more. I added dolphin hd (not sure I like this been playing with it the last couple of days), weatherbug, scientific calc. I like the simplicity now I need a custom theme and I am done:) Thanks again to all I truly enjoy this forum and it is VERY HELPFUL!!!!

I am having the same bluetooth car problem. Shows connected but is actually not, does a forced close without the screen prompts. I have a 2011 LaCrosse with the GM system. I'm going to try Superclean 2.4 tonight and see what happens.

Before you plug your phone into your pc with usb so you can download files, roms, themes etc., you have to hit the menu soft key, go settings=>applications, check unknown source, click development, check usb debugging. Then, after you plug your phone into pc with usb cord that came with the phone, pull down the notification bar and click on the bar that says usb connected. Now you can transfer files between pc and phone.

Perfect! As far as mass storage goes, is there anything else I need to check or uncheck? Thanks!
