[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Did you flash cwm in rom manager? If so you might have to re flash cwm through odin. Its been highly recommended that we stop using rom manager

Im running stock eb01 froze all the bloat, would it be wise to go to sc2.5? im looking for pure speed but stock eb01 is funning very fast for me, is there a signifigant speed difference between the two?

Hello DroidxCon last night I flashed sc2.5
'Super Clean version 2.5 - EB01/EB16 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmod
RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT EXTRACT HERE THE .rar file AFTER DOWNLOADING AND BEFORE USING(How to extract in post #2) -->EB16SC25_DXC.tar'
I had no trouble at all and would like to thank you for an easy guide to flash. I am new to rooting and what not and I have a couple of questions. What did I actually do by flashing to sc 2.5 and what else can I do with my phone now after rooting this. It seems that rooting opens more doors for the phone but I'm totally clueless in what I can do. I've been hearing a lot of voodoo lag fix, kernel and have no idea what they are. Also if sc 2.6 comes out how do I put that on my phone. Thanks again. Hope I don't sound really dumb....hahaha.

superclean is a about as close to a stock version of froyo for the fascinate that you can get without it being aosp. Touchwiz along with lots of the other bloat are removed and Adrynalyne has included a couple of other tweaks here and there.

From the factory, the Fascinate comes with an rfs file system (think of it as really %&#&%*^ slow). This can cause things to lag. We don't have full voodoo 2.2 kernels yet as Samsung hasn't released any source but we do have lagfix which basically reformats samsung's crappy file system and improves i/o speed. While it does improve performance here and there, you can find yourself up the creek if you're not careful. I'd stick with the nonvoodoo version for now unless you're noticing significant lag

no lag at all on stock eb01...can we use one click lagfix on 2.2?

everytime i flash something(about 20 times in last month), i end up having to manually restore my homescreens, sound settings, keyboard settings, stuff like that. i use titanium backup to restore all my apps with data, and backup assistant for my contacts. its all a pain in the ass, but im still learning too. sorry i cant be more help.

Hi - in installed DroidXCon's "Debloated/Deodexed Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod" a few weeks ago and my phone baseband is now, S:i500.04V.EB01, Kernel version 2.6.32.9 - I want to get SuperClean 2.5 on my phone...I have odin...how can i go about doing this? - do i have to data wipe etc?

this is what i did
wiped data, cache, dalvik
flashed DL09 with odin
flashed EB16SC2.5 with odin
hope that helps

cl36, the reason you have to reinstall everything is because you are doing a data wipe and flashing back to DL09. Once you are on EB01 and going from one version of EB01 to another there is no need to wipe and flash back to DL09. DroidXcon was having everyone flash back to DL09 for the first time they flash to EB01 so they were starting out with a fresh slate. Once you are on EB01 there is absolutely no need to flash back to DL09 unless you are having major problems and need to start over from a fresh slate, and even then DXC usually has people flash back to DI01 to get a deeper wipe. Adrynalyne himself said unless you get force close issues or any other buggy problems there shouldn't even be a need to wipe cache/dalvik cache when switching from one version of EB01 to another. He is now recommending a wipe of cache/Dalvik for superclean 2.5 and 2.6 because they have EB16 merged in which is actually a build for the US Cellular Mezmerize. I have flashed every superclean that has come out and have not needed to wipe or flash back to DL09 at all from 2.0 to 2.4. I just wiped cache and dalvik before flashing straight to 2.6 based on Adrynalyne's advice. Hope this clears up some questions for people.

I am not familiar with voodoo, but I do remember reading a thread where DroidXcon was helping someone and DroidXcon and several other experienced people were saying to not use one click lag fix.

OK I FLASJED THIS STUPID LEAK 3 TIME AND EVERYTIME I KEEP GETTING A FORCE CLOSE ON com.google.process.gapps!!!!! HOW DO I STOP THIS!!! ITS MAKING MY FONE UNUSABLE

I see that superclean 2.6 came out and was wondering how to wiped cache and dalvik? Also should I use odin to flash 2.6 when I have 2.5? Thanks.

your caps lock stuck? Which did you flash and what rom were you on initially?

You can use the .zip from Adrynalyne's thread. Just make sure you have the matching version to what you're on now (voodoo or nonvoodoo) and wipe cache and dalvik cache.

Did you use the .tar file with Odin in the OP or the .zip for cwm from the other thread? If you used the .tar, try redownloading the file again. Maybe something got corrupt. If you flashed the .zip, make sure you wipe cache and dalvik cache. May need to wipe data also.
