[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I put on the debloated version and it worked fin for about 2 hours last night. Now for some reason, I cannot connect to wifi. It shows all the different connections with full bars, and when I try to connect, it attempts and then just says disconnected.

I would reset the router, it may just be a coincidence that you just flashed the rom and its not working, if you are getting data and can send and recieve texts i would doubt that it is the modem and more to do with the router or security settings

Thinking about rooting and flashing this

I did several searches and found no answers to this. I am at EA28. Is it confirmed that EB01 enables the speaker jacks on the desk and car cradles?

Otherwise, I will wait.

I'm now on the 2.4 superclean build and things are running great, however, I'm wanting to use a theme and have never installed one. The one I am interested in is said to be compatible with EB01 so I know I'll be okay there. The guide then says to make a Nandroid backup, which I am completely unfamiliar with. Is making a complete Titanium Backup Pro backup just as reliable? And when they say to install the theme zip, do I use clockwork and boot into recovery and install that way (similar to installing superclean 2.4) ? I'll post the link to the theme if anyone wants to look over the post and make sure I have the right idea. I'm hoping to use the custom version of apps they have attached to, which it appears I flahsh with Odin I'm guessing. Thanks again! Sorry for the lengthy question!

No, a nandroid backup is done through clockworkmod. Titanium backup just backs up your apps and system data. When you boot to recovery and get to clockworkmod look at about the fourth or fifth option down, it says backup and restore, go there.
And yes, you install themes through clockworkmod just like you did with 2.4. Save the zip file to your sd card, boot to recovery, go to red clockworkmod and install from there.

EDIT - That theme is also available here at AC in this thread JaeKar99 has put a lot of time and effort into putting together and maintaining:

So here's where I'm at now: I installed the theme's main zip file via clockwork, and then proceeded to install the updates icons/wallpaper etc zip through clockwork as well (didn't reboot in between these two steps). It is currently on "Installing Update" and has been for at least ten minutes now, which seems too long for a 640kb file. What should I do from this point? Thanks again!

i would just abort it , and reboot, if you get caught in the samsung screen you may need to reflash the rom

So I pulled the battery and my phone booted up (after several nerve-wracking minutes) and it would appear the theme installed fine. Now I just need to figure out how to go about getting these icons and wallpaper to install!

Is there a certain way to abort or do I just yank the battery? And I peeked inside the icon/dock/wallpaper zip file on my computer just now and it is filled with .png files etc. Would those even need to be installed via clockwork or would there be another way to go about that?

hit the search button see if it backs out, otherwise just battery pull,,,,,,im sure there is a way to do it manually but it would be alot more effort and time than its worth im sure.are you sure whatever theme you were using was compatible?

I edited the above post but I hadn't realized you'd already responded. I pulled the battery and things ended up working out. My phone turned on and the theme seems to be working. The icon and wallpaper pack are part of the theme but in a separate zip. Should I attempt using clockwork to install them again now that the theme is in working order?

if you go to the page, it says not to flash in recovery

Just add the wallpaper to your gallery and if you want to use the icons also make a folder in the DCIM called ICONS

then use something like launcher pro and you can long press the dock icons and use custom ones

Nevermind I just read your recent reply. Thanks again for the help! This forum is honestly the best community I've ever seen!

yeah there is a file there for upgrade from previous versions of superclean EB01SC24x_DXC.tar it will upgrade you without wiping any data and also it has the newest cwm...and i would read up on voodoo and when you hear of custom voodoo kernels then you can try them. the one that is out does not really offer anything huge over the non voodoo kernel

Thanks a ton! That worked great, but I do have to reapply my theme, but I didn't have to loose my stuff. This forum along with xda have given tons of help! My hats off to you guys.

So i had previously installed clockwork and rooted my phone, and so i came back to find this sweeet froyo build and i followed the directions. I get it up and running but when i want to install anything i get an error saying that i do not have any space to install any programs. So i go do a factory data reset. Which brings me to the boot screen with an error saying i need to use the UI menu to wipe the data.

so i scroll through the boot menu to wipe data/factory reset. And it starts and i get an error "Can't Mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1(invalid argument)

I have my information backed up so i don't mind doing a complete wipe if i need to. Just not sure how to get my phone back up and running.

Thanks, It turns out it was my router. I havent turned it off in like over 4 months and today it wasn't working right on my computer either, so I just restarted it and everything is all good. Thanks for the work too.
