Bah. That brings it to nearly 5PM, so that means I either stay after work to complete the job and then drive home in this crappy weather, or wait until I get home.

I'll stay after work and load it up, give the short version of my success before I leave and then come back and update the post after I get home and have had it under my belt for a little while.

Not about being critical or anything. It's, so far, going to be the highlight of my day. Been here 9 hours, kid stayed home for snow day, and I need something to justify getting out of bed and coming to work today.

Awesome! I'm guessing by 'non data wipe' you mean updating an already rooted version to 2.5?...and I would have to wait for the wipe version since I'm stock?

meaning if you are running any other froyo version it will not wipe contacts or apps,,, but the one i will post is not tested so i would hold off

if you are coming from eclair i would suggest full wipe

I believe that he's referencing just the ROM, so that you can update a previously installed version of Super Clean/Froyo. Hopefully I'll have a test of this version within a few minutes of the link being posted.

i decided to add kernel and modem, just incase someone accidently loads it at least they will have functionality

5:15 EST - At desktop and media scan complete. Still have root, all apps still installed, and making phone call from still existing contact list to tell wife I'm running late.

So far, all apps still installed and running. Checked wifi, and 2 dozen AP's still there, including the one I'm connected to atm. Heading home.

I did notice that Settings/AboutPhone still has EB01 in version numbers. Is that normal since Adrynalyne said this was a mix of EB01 & EB16?
I also see we now have Music widgets. I don't recall seeing those on prior Froyo builds.

i need help with upgrading my verizon fascinate and i would rather make update it to the point that verizon just knows i have it..
i love the Fascinate but i am as all folks i guess..i want to update.
i am scared when i look at odin because there are to many blanks to be filled in, any help would be appreciated

odin is very simple you are only concerned with one blank to fill in .. i have made a quick write up with pictures. here check this example out
