[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Verizon Fascinate newb

Thanks for taking the time to read this. After nearly 300 pages of forum posts, my little pea brain is frazzeled. I have verizon 2.1 update 1 on my Verizon Fascinate and want to go to the best, easiest and most relaible FROYO . Could you please point me to the right page with the download and instructions? Better yet, do you have any friends in central Florida that could do it. Thanks a bunch for your time.

try re flashing 2.8 no data wipe package see if that helps
Hello, I installed the SC2.6 and SC2.8 with the data wipe option and it works great at first, then after a day or two the Mobile Data keeps turning off and won't reconnect until I reboot, then it is fine for a while and then turns off again. Not sure what is wrong. I first started with the stock Verizon stuff with the latest update, ea28 i think and eclair. Should I never run the *228 stuff, would that be what is wrong? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, love the install but need the mobile data to work all the time. Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to Android Central. You are in the exact right place for the answers to all your questions except the one about someone doing it for you. But DroidXcon's packages are so simple to use it is basically like he is doing it for you anyway. Read the first post in this thread carefully, and if you follow his exact instructions to the letter and take your time you will have the best, easiest, and most reliable Froyo with only a few simple steps on your part. Most people have been reporting the time it takes them to complete the process anywhere from 15-30 minutes. And if you come across any questions or problems, just post them in this thread and someone will help you.

Just flashed 2.9 using CWM thanks to Landshark's step by step instructions. Was my first time using it and everything seemed to go very well. So thanks Landshark for your directions!

Thanks - I really appreciate the help. I will go and follow the instructions on that page.

This is my first time here. I was waiting for verizon to give update to froyo, but of course, it still in limbo. Another problem is I have to do all steps with one hand...anyway, which superclean is the one that should be used. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central. At this very moment since you are still stock which means you are still on Eclair (Either DL09 or EA28) the best superclean would be EB16SC28_DXC.tar. You can follow the instructions in the first post in this thread and have it up and running on your phone in no time at all. Or if you want to wait, the latest version just got released by Adrynalyne a short time ago and DroidXcon is still working on getting that put into the same type of package. Should be ready sometime tonight.

I have a quick question...I read Landshark's thread how to flash using CWM and I understood how to do it now...but wondering that DXC's package is all included Rom,kernel, modem right? but it seems like in ADR's post it has 2.9 package and optional for the kernel..?? so my question is that when I flash through 2.9 from ADR's post, Do I not have kernel?? or modem?? so...confused....lol first time trying to get away from using odin...and dont want to be a noob anymore...

his package includes the kernel , but not the modem...but it doesnt matter since you already have the modem that is compatible with the rom

I followed DroidXcom instructions on page 1 exactly - I set it to use eb16sc28x_dxc . Eveything started fine, but my phone screen has been stuck on 'downloading' for 30 minutes. The phone just shut it self off. I am using win7x64 - does that make a difference. Should I just start over? Thanks

Reboot your computer
Redownload the odin package
Disable any active anti-virus
Use USB ports in the back of the computer, if you already are use a different port
Battery should be out of the phone the ENTIRE process... is it?

if none of this helps try these drivers

I restarted the process - it appears to be doing the downloading correctly now - I am getting a green bar slowly moving across odin
