[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

wow....I just found the weird bug...

Whenever you horizontally rotate your phone (by doing txt or watching etc) and let screen shuts off it vibrates about 3 times then reboot by itself. I was using non voodoo SC 2.9 and now Iam using voodoo SC 2.9 that happened for both of them....any suggestion??

Flash the super clean 2.9.1 patch found in adrynalynes post. Helps with random reboots.

2.8 quirks

I'm going to update to 2.9 but curious if anyone had the following issues with 2.8:

server errors with a few apps? Didn't start till a few days after install....could this be a Verizon/rooting issue?

camera shuts down after telling me I need a firmware update. I've been saying no.
-brings up an interesting question: can updating firmware, software, etc. cause issues with Verizon if we allow it? Are there some good rules to dealing with this kind of prompt?

So go ahead and install the firmware update for the camera. It's a firmware update, so update it. Verizon can't penalize you for rooting your phone beyond taking away your warranty. You're not stealing services or anything else, just using software on a PDA that you have purchased rightfully.

Not sure about server errors, generally those are on the other end of the connection.

Damn!!!! It works now!! lol
Thank you so much!!!!

Oddly enough, I have 2.9, have not patched it yet. And I've let it fall asleep while horizontal for texting, and it never reboot. Is it possible that you have a launcher or other app that has any control over your phone's rotation? If so, maybe there is a conflict.

I know that I feel better when other people have the same problems I do, but then again... I shouldn't believe that anyone has any of the problems that I do, that I do, that I do.

When you came over from Eclair, EA28, did you use the data-wipe or non-data-wipe version of the package? If you used the non-data wipe, that's the version with the little x after the version number, then you really should go back and do a data wipe version of the same install just to make sure that your phone was properly prepped for Super Clean.

As for the camera, Sheep is correct, just update the camera. If you ever have to deal with Verizon and either bring your phone in or send it in to them, and you're worried, just download the DI01 package and your phone will be exactly the same way it was when you pulled it out of the box the first time... no root, full of bloatware and no easy way for them to know anything.

As for the warranty? When I had my issue with the USB indication coming on when the phone wasn't plugged in, I told the person on the phone that I had to root it to get Titanium on there to backup my entire phone. She said, "Okay". Got a replacement phone, and have been on Super Clean every since. And likely before my warranty is up, I'll go to them and get a certified replacement as well. All I have to do is give it to my youngest son and I'm quite sure that his submerging it in the dog's water bowl will give it some odd functional issue... again.

no the mirror is for odin application itself. i cant to a 2.9.1 package right now..

but if you want just regular 2.9 yes the same way you flashed 2.8

I am running 2.9 but I get random reboots and blacks screens. I tried the patch several times no success keeps failing. I will wait for the odin version or give me a reason to buy the thunderbolt tomorrow lol

What does the screen say when it fails

When you say patch do you mean the 2.9.1 patch? And if so if its not working try downloading it again and replacing it on your SD card maybe you got a bad file.

yep the patch from droidxcon....said failed to open/sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory) e: signature verification failed....the file is there

I just recently flashed the debloated froyo build and since that download my stock calendar won't save any appt or dates. Does anyone else know what the problem is. Thanks. It will let me open the calender and input a schedule however when i hit save it says it is saved but does not show up in calender. Already did a battery pull, no help. Should I put a different calender on there. Just not looking forward to transfering all my appts etc. Any help would be appreciated.
