OK... so here's the rub...

I took Adryn's boot animation file, pasted it into the system/media folder on my phone after renaming the previous bootanimation.zip file to bootanimation.zip.old

One problem... the sweet exploding honeycomb animation didn't show up... just a landscape view of the word 'ANDROID' that had some basic animated highlights to it. It seems something is amiss...

Was I supposed to flash that file (Adryn's bootanmiation.zip) with CWM?

you may want to talk to gunner or jaekar about that, i know it has something to do with the voodoo kernel .

Need some help though now can someone please tell me how in launcher pro while using 2.9.2 if u click contacts and then try and go back with the back button it doesnt work. Im running that setup and it works for me. I would wipe cache partition and dalvik cache then relfash 2.9.2. Or maybe just reboot, sometimes that changes things up.

this is a copied and pasted post from Sharky, I had the same problem w/ 2.9 & LPP and this fixed it for me

It's not Launcher Pro and sc 2.9 that don't get along and won't let you save your changes, it's LP and the AOSP launcher that comes with SC. I had the same problem and it was really aggravating me that I couldn't keep the 3D app drawer. Here's what you do. If you don't have Root Explorer, get it from the market. Then open up root explorer. You will see a bunch of file folders listed in alphabetical order. Scroll to data and click on it, then scroll to the data folder on that page and click on it, then scroll to com.fede.launcher, long press on that folder and choose delete from that menu. Then scroll to the top and click on the folder that says parent folder. This will take you back one page, now click on parent folder again. On that page click on the dbdata folder, then click on the databases folder, scroll to com.fede.launcher here too and delete it. Now scroll to the top and click parent folder at the top of each page until you don't see the parent folder at the top of the page and hit the home soft key. Your changes in LP should save now. If they don't after that, a reboot of the phone should completely fix it.

LOL I hate the 3d app drawer gives me a crazy headache lol! Im more concerned about the back button not working when im in contacts. I have to hit home to get out of it. BTW you guys are all great!

Long press on the contacts icon, choose change shortcut, choose applications, choose phone, choose default icon. Click on phone icon, click back soft key. Long press on that same phone icon, change shortcut, applications, contacts, default icon, click icon, try back button. If that doesn't work, then hit menu soft key and go settings=>applications=>manage applications=>all=>launcher pro and clear data

Shark Neither worked man! Still huge headache with it..... Its weird it like backs it self back into the contacts then doesnt go back from there!

I had the same problem, except backing out of contacts took me to my text messsaing app and then I couldn't back out anymore, had to hit the home key to get out ..I deleted the com.fede.launcher files from root ..I also tried replacing my contacts shortcut with something else and then changing it back & then once I rebooted, it was fixed

yeah, sorry. Usually just changing the shortcut to something else then back to contacts works. Use my instructions someone copied and posted back on the previous page about deleting the com.fede.launcher files using root explorer, then reboot your phone.

Sweet. I should probably figure out how to duplicate that glitch so I can figure out the easiest, best way to fix it. Most likely it will be changing the shortcut to something else, then back to contacts, then reboot phone to complete the change.

I am going to be pulling the bootanimation.zip file from Adryn's SC 2.9v to put on my themed phone... just one problem... when using Astro File Manager to rename the current boot animation file on my computer to bootanimation.zip.old, my phone says I do not have permission to do it.

Is there another file manager that will give me the permission to rename the current file on my phone (system > media > bootanimation.zip) so that I can copy another one into that folder?

If you don't want to pay for Root Explorer you might try Super Manager. I have been renaming and copying boot animation files just fine with this app.

Edited to add - Oops! I should have read further ahead as I see you are already past this point.
