[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Thank you for your time. I was about to try to it myself now after reading some threads,; but with ED01 official release, there is no stay awake on development. Does it matter. As I earlier, if someone can spend some time to help step by step. That would be great. Sorry if I am asking for help since this is the first time attempt and are bit afraid.. I like the release. Only thing I dislike is the bloated and games on the phone. Thank you for your time.

Hey don't worry my man, we were all new to this at one point, and if you have read you know it is pretty difficult to brick a fascinate..(just don't let it come unplugged while doing something).

From what I understand your at stock 2.2 and want to remove all the "bloatware" and games..

The staying awake on development, shouldn't matter if your doing a ODIN package, since you'll be booting to download mode anyway..(battery out, hold down volume key, etc)

With that said, In my opinion there are two options...

First is

Loading a bundled ODIN package found in this thread, which is what I would recommend, following step by step the great instructions as listed. I recommend Superclean 2.9, which simply means it has all the bloatware and games etc removed. The Superclean ROM's are very stable, and safe, and efficient. They are however built off the leaked version(s) of Froyo, not the new official version (ED01). In addition, it sounds like the SC ROM's may be more functional than the official release anyway..(takes some time for the bugs to get worked out on those)

or

Wait for the ODIN bundle made from the official release, ED01, which should come out soon or the Community ROM which is being worked on by the developers, (hopefully will be ODIN packaged as well) .

Hope this helps...and don't worry. Most of what you do is reversible..

I'm waiting for the ODIN package. I've gotten all wussy lately. I've become so happy with my phone that I'm afraid I'll mess it up if I start tinkering. One soft brick experience and now I'm so much more careful :D

I have't done anything since this and that was weeks ago! :p

+1 to that man...There have been so many different EXXX whatever leaks and releases in the last month I can't keep them straight anymore.. I'll possibly just wait for the ODIN package, or community ROM to come out and play it safe..SC 2.9.2 is awesome anyways

+5 to both of u guys....all i do is flash kernels now, 2.9.2 is to good still. I have yet to flash a rom, have only used odin. so hopefullly that is available.

On 3/28 I flashed EB16 and was having some issues with it and you told me to flash EC10 with 2.9.2. I used the link in the first post of this thread, EC10SC292x_DXC.tar. I've been using it ever since but I never bothered to look at the "About Phone" screen to see what I have (dumb I know).

It says my Kernel version is 2.6.32.9, Baseband & Build number are EB01.

Do I need to flash again for 2.9.2? Was there a problem with the mega upload link that has since been corrected? I know that I used the link provided..
I know this is an easy question and I'm bumping it so it doesn't fall too far back.. can someone tell me.. since my Kernel is 2.6.32.9 does that mean for whatever reason my original flash didn't install properly? I want to fix it...Thanks!

stuck at Samsung loop after I used ODIN to download Froyo

I need help! I am having trouble finding the solution within the threads. After I install Froyo, I get stuck at the Samsung start up loop.

I started by completing a factory reset. Then installed DL09 via ODIN. I have tried both EB01 & EB01DB and get stuck with both files. (I flashed back to DL09 between trying each file). After flashing, and getting stuck in the loop, i've tried toget into into CWM, I am unsuccessful. But if I am in build DL09, and press & hold the volume up and down buttons at the same time I get into CWM.

What am I missing?

lol, "voodoo on the bottom of the main cwm menu"

Yes. The ROM itself is not voodoo, only the kernel is. So in order to convert to voodoo, all you would have to do is flash a voodoo kernel in cwm, then before you reboot, scroll to voodoo on the bottom of the main cwm menu, power button, look to make sure it says enable after "next reboot." If it doesn't just hit power button while enable lag fix is highlighted. Then hit the menu soft key or search key once, then power button once to reboot. Wait, wait, wait, and while you are waiting listen to lady droid talking to you.

i've had sc 292v 4eva but never caught the part about turning voodo on in cwm. So now enabled but no "lady droid talking to you" 4 me, bummer sound off :-\

Wonder if this will help battery life?

The other day I went to bed and everything was fine with my phone. When I wake up my stock calendar app was gone. Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so what did you do. For the time being I'm using touchcalendar but I like the stock one better.

2.6.32.9 is the correct kernel version for Froyo. superclean version is 2.9.2. The two numbers have nothing to do with each other. You have the correct set up. Nothing to fix, your original flash installed properly

So is there an ED01 Odin package yet? All I seem to find are CW updates... :(

DXC only has a hard bricked Fascinate for now, and it is going to take me a while to learn how to make the ODIN packages. I'm reading as much as I can and trying to learn.
