Dumb question did the notification pop up in the notification bar or in middle of screen.

I received the update this morning. 2 issues have been encountered so far. 1. Whenever keyboard input was needed, I would get a swype error - EnglishUS failed. (Settings->Applications->Swype->Clear data corrects this). 2. The GPS is still wonky. It worked the 1st time, but the subsequent times it has a hard time maintaining a lock.

I'm not sure what TouchWiz is.. but I am using GoLauncherPro and did update to ICS this morning...

How are u using a phone that came wit the touch wiz user interface and don't know what it is unless u was being sarcastic :D

Got the OTA update this morning and installed without a hitch! Tested GPS and works great with 8/8 satellites found and connected very fast. Tested Google Play and got app updates, dialer and incoming calls OK, contacts OK, SMS OK, Email fine. So far no issues found. Super fast now too. Hope everyone goes a smooth! Enjoy.

With all the horror stories throughout the thread I was very hesitant to accept the OTA but in the end I assented this morning and let it go through it's thing. So far I have had no problems whatsoever....no battery drain, no problem with Wifi at home or work, no appreciable signal degradation. The only issues I did notice was that bluetooth volume seemed a bit softer after the update and also when using the stock Email app (not Gmail) I wasn't able to open or view any emails from within the app (notifications worked fine so I didn't notice right away) until I resized the FONT. once I did that it was fine.

So so far so good. ICS working fine so far after about 7 hours. Whew.

Providence, RI.

You can use Sprint ID to turn off the TW launcher, mostly. Use the "Clean" option.

Finally got my update this morning....no issues so far

Got my update this morning. Now I no longer have the ability to use the phone as USB Mass Storage. Looking for a way to go back to Gingerbread now.

To clarify, the option is not even available.

Finally here in San Francisco this morning, and it's SO much faster and smoother than GB! No issues so far, fingers crossed though ;)

I got the notification to update at 5:30 a.m. this morning Hawaii time.....chose install later.....let's see how many times I'll get the notification.....I'll end up installing it when I get home from work this evening.....

I now have ICS on my E4GT...one issue that people do know and an improvement that I'm stoked about...

FoxFi does not work...WTF Sprint? But I know they are working on a patch.

The great thing for me is that when I enter my car, my phone now auto connects to the bluetooth in my stereo...whereas with the GB OS, I need to manually connect every time. This is so much nicer...

Hello all! I recently updated to FD24 using qbking's video (without root). Does anybody know if the OTA update will work for me? Thanks in advance!

Got it this morning in Northern Maryland. Still playing with it but I think GB was better. How do you get the true ICS launcher? Is there anything really cool I am missing from the update? Seems pretty plain.:(

Got the OTA notice this morning, western Illinois, running pretty smooth all day, and the gps locks on quicker

I noticed since the update my phone doesnt charge all the way to full charge. It doesn't go past 99%. Is anyone else experiencing this?
