Now I see why people like to root - this is exciting to see what happens after each new release.

I am glad there are brave souls here who are willing to try (and able to recover from - if necessary) the un-official releases. My hats off to you all who help make the OTA pushes better for those of us who are not willing or able to root.

After reading all 12 pages of this I don't see why people are updating to this... Sure it's new, and new = better, but think about it: Lose your warranty, buggy GB build, no rooting, no downgrading. I highly recommend that if you want GB, root while you can and flash a ROM, or wait till the OTA. Personally I think everyone should just root or get an iPhone

I didn't have a warranty to lose. Time will tell if it fixed SMS issue and Sense crashes. Nothing risked nothing gained.

I HATE the SMS issue. Sending messages to the wrong people is starting to get really annoying. Please let us know if it fixes this.

These builds have been floating around I follow a lot of Devs and everybody who has anything to do with Android on twitter and I see them talking about these all the time I've asked them repeatedly to release a leak to us and finally my wish came true.

I would recommend you change the thread title to "New/Latest" leak instead of calling it official. It's kind of misleading, because there's nothing official about it lol

For the Full Untouched RUU:

1. Download and rename to PG05IMG.zip
2. Place on the root of your SD card
3. Reboot into hboot (White turned off hold power + volume down)
4. When asked if you want to update hit volume up

For all the naysayers, I installed it, non rooted with ease. It will factory reset your phone. Backup your SD card. I am using ADW EX, and everything is faster and everything still works ( wifi, 3g data, GPS,camera is just as good as the froyo version, etc)

I did have to reinstall my apps and used mybackup pro to restore contacts, settings, etc.


Final Verdict: Awesome update and I'm glad I did it. I've never rooted before, so this was extra cool for me being a non root process.

After doing this..why is it not asking to update it? help!

Hmm. I noticed that my phone is getting quite hot since I done the update...

The battery temp that I can see right now is on 46.7*c - anyone else facing this?

I have been waiting for GB for so long, can anyone confirm that if I do this update I will get front facing camera support on GTalk and Skype??

Yes u get use of front facing cam in both apps

I notice that WiFi logs in automatically once its set up. Like when you open maps and go on the internet. Also swiftkey x doesn't work and the lock also.
