On the GS6. What's more of a deal breaker for you, no removable battery or no SD card?

When you could buy Micro SD cards and not pay the extra money for the STorage from the mfg. It was cheaper.
I'd rather have a Micro SD card and a removable battery. So when I go on a trip in I don't have to worry about the battery being dead.
And the Sd card to store pictures on. The phones with the 16mp camera are great to take pictures and store.
Got a bunch of apps also on the SD card not to mention ringers and all also..

This is something a select bunch of people want and it was important to us.
Weather it was important to everybody else or not.

Its like the heritage of the phone is gone. Why didn't they just come out with another model phone and not mess the original up.
And then see which one sold the best. And model everything from there.

The market research puts your view in the minority... hence the decision to play the Apple game. Read nothing into it. It's what most people will want.

I left apple and came to a Samsung S5. If I wanted a Apple I would by a apple.
I have always been in the Minority.
Never gone with the crowd on everything.

Rather not go back to the Apple operating system.
Seems if you look Samsung is coming out with a S6 Active.
It won't have all the standards of the Regular S6, but they are gonna make an offer on it.
So in a few months there will be a 3rd S6.

Well the minority seems large enough for Samsung to potentially address these issues with the S6 Active.

Rumor at this point. The S6 will set sales records, the minority will continue to be just that.

Lack of SD card will be deal breaker for me. I joined android years ago because I hated iPhone iTunes crap. Now seems like is all the same. I am probably in a minority but is nice to be able to move your data without worrying that it may be lost if your phone breaks down.

I need the removable battery but if no expandable storage meant that at anytime you could reset your phone like an apple and all of your apps, settings, and shortcuts were restored automatically, I could deal with the storage.

Google has photos as a app that you can store your photos on.

And there is going to be a lot of Microsoft storage according to how much your carrier will allow you to have.
And the Bloatware from Samsung is only gonna be a few apps.
All the other bloatware will be from your carrier, not from Samsung.

So your storage problems should be not very big.
Along with the Minu USB adapter that will plug into the phone and USB on the other end that will accept a Flash drive will also help.

your phone will rapid charge in like 1 1/2 hours.
In 10 minutes it will charge for 4 hrs of use.

If I was you, I would go to a Best Buy and talk to a Samsung rep. They can answer a lot of your questions.

I have have not had a removable battery since I owned the galaxy S3. Since then, I have owned the M7, M8, and Nexus 6. The days of swappable batteries are gone in favor of new designs.

But I can't help but bring of a stunt that Samsung pulled at Chicago’s Lollapalooza music festival a couple of years ago. Now for anyone that has been to an all day music festival, you know that your phone ain't making it the whole day with all the pics and recording and unreliable service.
If I remember correctly, they had a booth set up where they would allow people with Galaxy devices to swap their dead battery for a new charged one in exchange for a social media shout out. Brilliant shot at HTC and iPhone and basically everyone that went with the sealed in design. RIP swapable batteries lol

Oh and about the SD card, I think Samsung is being greedy and should be ashamed of themselves. Pulling an apple charging wayyy too much for an upgrade in device internal storage. We all know storage is cheap and they are just getting over on us. Guess we should be happy they start us out with 32GB at least

It hasn't been anounced, but Samsung is suppose to be making a Samsung Active for later release this year.
Think its gonna have a removable SD card. Nobody is saying nothing about the removable battery.

The removable battery got scraped because people did not want a Plastic back on the Samsung.
The waterproof phone left when they people thought the plastic back wasn't nice enough for them also.

I really liked the plastic back. And when you put it in a case. What difference did it make ? You couldn't see the plastic back anyway.

Be careful what you cry about, or you may loose things that you like.

Both features were nice to have. Expandable storage was great for me when the base storage was 16GB and TouchWiz and bloat had such a heavy footprint that it left very little useable storage. I have not stored anything on my card in ages. Cards also get corrupted. I have never swapped a battery taking personal responsibility to manage resources and making the necessary settings changes. Put it on the charger every night. I have never seen a battery swapped in an airport, mall or any other public area. It is estimated though not confirmed by retail unit owners that useable storage is enough at the 32GB level but for added comfort, I went with the 64GB which will probably be overkill. Battery life with more current review units are indicating comparable to better battery life than the GS5 (PhoneArena) and the M9 whose battery Is so much larger. I know that my opinion doesn't matter to those who really miss both features but it's been five weeks and it appears that you won't even consider other information and give the device a chance. Those of getting the GS6 are comfortable with what we have learned keeping any open mind to vote with our wallets. With potential unit sales north of 50 million, it is doubtful that Active sales will be that high. This thread has just over 700 replies and 35k views. Even if there are a million users are unhappy with the exclusion of these features, there will be more than enough new users to make up for it. Best of luck with whatever device you choose and I hope that it meets your needs. Vote with your wallet.

Does someone have a link to this market research that says people don't want a Swappable Battery or SD card?

Exactly. The fangirls on here will point to the iPhone and say "Proof." They say Samsung must have researched it therefore it is fact. Like consumer research/product design is some sort of easy, black or white multiple choice test. They don't sound like they have ever worked in the real world.

Use the cloud or Dual USB Flash Drive to back your stuff up. Use a wireless connection to back up to the cloud so you're not using data.

Too easy.

It's not as hard as you try to imply it is, I do it for my company's products.

Did you even read what i wrote? I was stating that if i could reset my phone and have it exactly like it was prior to reset, it would be an even trade to me.

Lack of SD card and non removable battery is not a deal breaker for me. I been used to non removable batteries since the droid razr maxx. SD card I don't care since everything is backed up to google plus. Currently have 174gb of google plus storage.

Lack of sd card in case I need a factory reset....but I hope I don't drop it in the toilet or I'll wish the battery came out!

When you go to the Toilet you can't get off the phone ?
You gonna have to have a charger in the car and one at home and one at work. Just in case.
I've got the Mini usb cables to plug then in.
And I will have the charger that you lay it on for home that was included int he kit they said I will get.

Gonna look at getting a Mobile phone booster probably Friday.

This is the one I will probably get.

I do not get a very good cell phone signal.
