Online order people, do you have a tracking number?

I placed my order at 3:30 Eastern time this morning and I still don't have it. I see that many of you ordered yours later and already have your tracking numbers. Make me sort of wonder how they handle the orders.

Telesales said that everyone will have tracking by this evening and all sales this morning will go out today.
 
Do not panic over the lack of being able to track the package online, or the check back tomorrow message. You probably will not be able to do so until at least 4PM local time. They have the tracking #'s ahead of time, but FedEx picks up late in the day, and it takes a while for them to all get scanned into the system. On the west coast they ship out of Ontario, California; so, don't freak out and think it's being shipped from Canada. Secondly, don't freak out at the website saying your order is being processed. Again, it can be as late as 1PM or 2PM before you see this change. This happens with every single release. Actually it happens with everything they ship.

However, you might have an issue. Did you bill to your account by any chance? That can cause delays:

I ordered and got a confirmation email at 3:17 ET this morning. At 11:00 I got another email saying my order will be processed within 3 business days.
WTF?
 
Just got my tracking #, I ordered at 3am...what does indierect signature mean? Can I leave a note at my door with my signature for fedex? I will be in work all day and night.
 
my confirmation email lists the 8.99 charge, but does not indicate what kind of shipping option is chosen.

The shipment notification I received hours later doesn't even indicate, although by using the tracking number provided I can see its overnight.
 
I billed to my account, Cory, but they said it was already shipped yet no FedEx number in the system.

I ordered two TB's on my family account (one for me and one for my brother) and his order showed as shipped right away, but mine showed pending.

So I called Verizon and the girl said that some orders need to be manually processed (something to do with credit card authorization - I dunno...) and she said it can take up to 3 business days to process. When I told her that was unacceptable since I paid extra for overnight shipping (which, like the rest of you, I plan to get refunded for - But I didn't tell her that) she said they almost always get them processed the same day and told me I'd have to just sit and wait.

Take that for what you will...

Regarding the billing of the account thing, I think it's based on some limit they initially set on your account when they do a credit check. Anything that goes above that limit requires further verification. I know I've read these posts before in prior phone releases....

Oh, and just as I predicted, I just got my tracking # :p I wouldn't be surprised if a whole bunch of you started getting them in the next 60 minutes.

They said mine was actually shipped and cleared so I assume all is well. I think if it hadn't been marked as shipped then I'd worry.
 
just got email with tracking number. Its coming tomorrow so I'm going to work from home. Paying $229 for a 1 year contract is deal but CA tax sucks!
 
just got an email from verizon saying it's via UPS with UPS tracking code but when I enter into the order status its still not updated and still says it's via Fedex.

they need to frustrate me more even at this point in time. LOL

Weird. Mine have only gone out Fedex. Fedex is reporting it was already picked up. I was hoping 2 day would include Saturday delivery. Oh well. Does your tracking number begin with 1z or just numbers?
