I'm zv9 and I replaced the appropriate files in the rom(the zvd-fix) and it booted and everything worked. nandroid and try

If my potential sound fix works, I will package the zvd fix, button mapping fix, and sound fix in a flashable zip for everyone, so less advanced users can easily flash jelly bean on the V without needing to modify the ROM before flashing.

Either way, my flashable zip SHOULD work abs make everything smoother when flashing, for this specific rom.
And CM10 only requires an android phone.

If you don't know what ZV(x) you need to be on then you might need to wait for one of the OV devs to make it.

The Optimus V is ZVD only. The ZV4, ZV5, and ZV9, are all branches of ZVD. ZVD is Froyo firmware, and since the V only comes in Froyo(stock), it uses ZVD, the numbers are just Virgin Mobiles versions of ZVD.
ZVJ is LG Optimus S firmware for stock gingerbread.

Is that kosher? I know that the devs for all the OV ROMs have removed gapps from their ROMs, due to Google's legal requirements. I know that there are versions of gapps that are slimmed down, but is it legal to add things?

I was talking about Out of the Box Lg Optimus V
And, until sammyz finds a waaaaaaaay simpler way to get ZVJ on the V, I'm sticking to ZVD/ZV4

Well, it's only questionably illegal to include Gapps into ROMs, but altering gapps is perfectly fine I'm certain. If anyone thinks I shouldn't include Gapps in the fix zip, then I will keep it separate.
