Pixel 6.

Anxious to see the alleged "Subscription" offer for Google Fi - I got the P5a on a "subscription" deal - pay $9.00 a month for the phone plus the Fi service fee - bill usually runs about $35.00 - at the end of 2 years I keep the phone and can get a new one - 24 months x $9.00 = $216 for the P5a.
I am a dedicated Google Fi user, so sticking with it is no big deal for me.

That P5a subscription sounds like a fantastic deal.

I have P5a ( it's my first Pixel) and an S21Ultra. When I get the P6 I might put the Samsung into semi-retirement, possibly use it as a doorstop.

I agree. My 5a will be the "home phone", and the big 6 will be the phone that I will take when I go out on the town. It should really attract the chicks when I pull it out of my pocket. "Is that the new Pixel?" they will ask. "Well, yes ma'am it surely is", I will say. "May we hold it?", they will ask. "Yes, definitely you may", I will say. I watch as they caress the new device, their eyes gazing wantonly at the colorful Gorilla Glass Victus. Fingers gliding across the screen, their lips quivering as they observe the smooth 120hz display......I can hardly wait for October 19th!!!!!
Hallucinate much?

I totally want one now. Which color is most touchable I wonder...
I don't care, it's going in a case day one. Poetic ha a case now and I've got it bookmarked in my Amazon lists. Might get the blue one might get the black one.

I have a Poetic case on my Pixel 4a. Very heavy duty. It does make the phone bigger and easier to hold, feeling more secure in my hand.
My concern is how much bigger these cases will make the P6 Pro feel and harder to hold. I think I'll wait until after I get the phone and use it for a few days before deciding on what type of case to get, if I even get one for it. The P6 Pro will be the biggest phone I've ever used. It will be an interesting experience in more ways than one.

@Smokeaire1

Never heard of the Poetic case - checked the website and they seem to be a good case at a good price - thanks for heads up, like you, I'll wait until the P6 is in my hand before I decide on any more cases. Have a Spigen Ultra Hybrid Clear arriving today - my "go to" case for the last couple of phones.

Do you find these go yellow on you? Whenever I've had a clear case in the past they always yellow on me after a few months. I've had the Ultra Hybrid Black (with clear plastic back) on my P4xl since it was new and the case still looks amazing. That's probably the case I'll go with when I eventually pick up the P6P.

In other news, did people see the leak on the official P6 cases that will be offered?

They're doing the slippery, cheap plastic cases that were offered for the 5a. :( For the 6 pro, there's either gray or white. No color at all. Boring.

I've only had 2 clear versions of the case - others were black - never had a "yellowing" problem.

My clear case on my 4XL has not yellowed and it will be two years old next March or April.

What would be a cool case for the Pixel 6 is a solid cover from the camera bump down and clear from the top of the bump up. Might be difficult to make, and probably never happen; however, if I was to ever purchase a Pixel 6 it would be something I would look at or a clear or solid grey.

But not likely to purchase one. Just bored....

I can understand you wanting to hold off until you know how big and heavy the Pixel 6 Pro will be before adding a case into the mix. Will you use a screen protector?

Also, how are the Poetic cases? I've yet to hear of them and they sound cool!

These heavy duty cases come in two parts. The main body that the phone snugs in and the top screen protector. The main case can be used without the screen protector if desired. I use both on my Pixel 4a.
The full case does add weight. The naked Pixel 4a weighs 143g/5.04oz. With case 209g/7.25oz.

When I first held the P4a I felt like it could squirt out of my hand like a Watermelon seed. I had my caseless Blackberry Key² come unclipped from its holster and immediately run over by a suv. I heard the crunch. With that very sad memory in mind I looked for a heavy duty case for my Pixel. I prefer holsters over pockets. I think a tank could roll over this one and it would protect this phone. Ok...a bit hyperbolic but I think it will survive a suv.
Attached is the case for the P6 Pro.

I have a Poetic case on my OnePlus 7 Pro and it's not a problem. The kickstand can help as a finger loop which helps with a big phone.

Since I prefer not to use a case I'll have to see how the P6 Pro feels in hand before making the decision as to whether a case is necessary and if so what kind.
If I do go with the Poetic. It will be the blue one.
