Play Store: Motorola Assist 2.0.29

What's New
  • Added support to troubleshoot drive mode audio issues when connected to Bluetooth
  • Meetings where you?re marked as ?Available? will no longer trigger meeting mode
  • Bug fixes!

So, when I updated this app, it will not even open anymore. Rebooted and everything. So, I uninstalled the update and it's working great again. LOL Guess the update ain't so great.

This fixed a problem for me - if I was listening to music over BT from the phone, the music would not be interrupted and the phone would not read me received text messages, etc. Changing to the alternate audio channel fixed that. (I now also have navigation directions spoken through BT.)

Are you still on 4.2.2? Maybe it only works with Kit Kat.

I'm also on 4.2.2 (didn't wasn't too lose foxfi) and experienced the same thing. Sent the question to the developers, waiting on a response, if I ever get one.

Please let us know what you find out.

Official response from Motorola Play Store Support, " You need the KitKat 4.4 update before the Assist update will work."

Wow, a mistake on their part. The could have set the minimum API level for the app so it would only show up as an update if you had KitKat.

I guess they figured that all phones are updated to KitKat now so there is no reason to check...
