Hey folks I recently bought the Note 9 after making yet another attempt to come back to Android and I’m glad to say the Note has removed all previous fears about other times I tried to switch back. Except the camera and I’m stumped. The rear facing camera often over exposed the shots and areas look blown out and aren’t easy to correct after the fact. The front facing camera on the other hand is just almost unusable and I can’t work out why. I’ve tried disabling any enhancement options and even turned off HDR on both camera and used tap to focus to try and get the metering right and the photos in bright light are unusable. I’m an amateur photographer so I’m stumped why this would be, more so on the front camera. Here’s an example of my ugly mug.

Any suggestions would be appreciated cause I really want to keep the Note.

Here are some pictures from my trip to Las Vegas for VMWORLD. I didn't get much of Vegas since I've been there so many times I didn't leave the hotel. But here you go.

All of these were auto but imo tuff lighting conditions since it was sundown in that in-between stage where nothing comes out right.

Taken this earlier today! lost some detail as the wings where constantly moving but look at the detail :D View attachment 289415

Just showing some other dragon fly photos from other phones. Not dis’ing the N9, it’s got s great set of cams, however the same goes for other, even older, phones. The first two are from a phone released in 2015 (3 years ago), and the 3rd photo is a 150% crop from a pic taken by a phone that’s two years old. :)

This morning was my first chance to get out early and take a few test shots with my new Note 9. I've always liked the color in these firecracker bushes my wife has in the back yard. Apparently we have a few other creatures that enjoy them as well. The bumble bee is easy to spot, but if you look close you will see a very small ant that seems to benefit from them as well.

Edit: all photos uploaded as taken, no post editing. All shot in Auto mode.

Looks like the sun could be strong in the photo. Do the problems you've noticed happen under all lighting conditions?
