[RADIOS][VZW] Galaxy Nexus Radios and Installation Guide

What I would do: wait for the new radios and see if it helps.
Meanwhile, call Verizon every day and complain about the poor signal. Tell them it effects you all the time, work and life and its always bad. Tell them their customer service has been terrible. Complain about the refurb. Ask to speak to managers. Complain (just for the sake of getting what you want) about the infrequent updates. Or the failure of the updates to solve your signal.
They will get you a replacement gnex or something else (RAZR I would guess) if you complain enough. Free of course.
Anyway: I wouldn't take the loss of selling it , since you signed a contract for a working phone, and yours doesn't work.
And btw I hate complaining but you gotta get something done right?

I plan on waiting on the radios. One thing you missed was my water mark was smudged on the actual phone and not the battery. I have no clue how that happened. I think I only paid like $200 for the phone and I'm sure I could get that out of it. (possibly more).
I hear ya on complaining and I have done so. Like I said, the first guy sent me a new phone (refurb) seeing I was 5 days out after I could actually return it. Maybe I will just walk into the store and show them the water marks and ask them to explain it to me and complain to them. But, then they will see that I'm rooted etc. but most times that doesn't matter when just talking to them. I personally think this is why the battery life sucks due to it trying to get signal/data all the time. Don't get me wrong, it does work, just very crappy compaired to my DX. I don't even use 4g

ironically, i cant even catch an LTE signal at the office right now.... wow, this has gotten progressively worse in this area, in midtown nyc of all places. hoping the new radios do something to help

Are these radios and bootloader? Do I need to be on any specific radio/bootloader combination before I flash this?

You have to be on the 4.0.4 radios because one of them is a patch. FC## should be listed in your baseband. Don't worry about bootloader. You can flash the leaked bootloader (should be a link in my JB now thread) BEFORE flashing the radios, but really, it shouldn't matter that much, if at all.

The new zip in the OP on rootz says it can be flashed over any radios. Link on the second page to older radios if anyone needs them though.

While that's probably true, considering this came from a patched update from 4.0.4, I think it's safer to be on that than not.

new radios didnt do much for me. still get no LTE inside the office (whereas around march i was getting steady 3-4 bars)

Just flashed it. It looks like it flashed the fc04 radio first and then patched that radio, so either way should be fine. I've been having problems recently when switching from 4G to 3G, so I'm hoping this helps.

The one thing I have noticed is handoffs are even quicker than before.

Yeah cdma takes forever to write.

That's just a hardware revision. Don't mind it. Nothing really different, no one has any idea if anything changed lol.
