Re: [RADIOS] Verizon Galaxy Nexus Radios and Guide

is that right im thinking thats still the old radieos?

You mean your baseband is ==> i515.09 FC04/FC05?

if that's the case, you're good to go :).

Old 4.0.4 radios = FA##.

Re: [RADIOS] Verizon Galaxy Nexus Radios and Guide

Just flashed over Liquid 1.35 with old 4.0.4 radios and worked like a charm. Now running new radios without a hiccup in the process! Thanks for posting again Zero!

Re: [RADIOS] Verizon Galaxy Nexus Radios and Guide

Thanks Zero. Easy as pie. Up and running with the "new" 4.0.4 radios after flashing directly over the leaked 4.0.4 radios from a while back. Took all of 5 minutes.

Still figgerin' all this out:

What is the point, risk or benefit of flashing the bootloader inclusive file vs just the radios???

You can't use the stock recovery... you need a custom recovery (CWM/ClockWorkMod Recovery) in order to flash the radios. In order to install CWM Recovery... the phones bootloader needs to be unlocked.
1) unlock bootloader
2) install/flash CWM Recovery
3) install/flash radios

I'm unlocked/rooted/running AOKP with the leaked 4.0.4 radios (FA versions).

I'm just befuddled by the new radio files which are available with and without the bootloader packaged in.

Currently you don't need the updated boot loader bc the radios will work on the old bootloader, at the same time it won't harm anything to flash it.

The risk of flashing bad radios or boot loader is messing up your phone, so make sure to check md5 before you flash.

You needed to be on the 4.0.2 radios in order to flash the 4.0.4 radios... some of us were already running a leaked version of the 4.0.4 radios from a month ago and didn't want to have to revert back... potentially losing root.

DT put together a package that downgrades you back to 4.0.2, flashes the new 4.0.4 bootloader and upgrades the radios to the official 4.0.4 radios... its much easier.

Info is on page 2.

That's correct. That's why a day or two later I added the file with just the radios, for those who don't want the boot foe whatever reason, or already had flashed it, when just the radios were made available with the patch to circumvent rolling back to 4.02 to upgrade.
