Real Life Battery life

After second charge: 75% at 14 hours off battery, lost only 3% while asleep. Light usage, maybe 10 - 15 pics or so and a phone call. Most of the time on Wifi. Not shabby at all!

Now its 58% at just about 24 hours after charge. Not even 20% in 10 hours. I sync mail for 4 accounts hourly, took some more pics, did some google voice search and some browsing on chrome (all mostly on wifi). Did I mention I have a weak signal where I live too so my cell standby on the M7 ate my battery up. Holy wow.

EDIT: 7.5 hours later (31 hours off charger) now at 50%. Lost another 3% while asleep.

This is mine after a complete charge using HTC wire and laptop (moving a ton of files around). What this indicates to me about my usage is I barely use my phone and those that test/review phones never ever turn them off.

Interesting. You have bluetooth off. I might try that and see how that affects battery life. I normally have bluetooth turned on all the time, but only really need it on when in the car.

Agreed. Ill turn it on next charge for comparison. Still on same charge now at 40.5 hours of "on time".

How about actually using it as a phone ? Lol
That combined w BT on - w smartwatch would be more realistic measure. Of course camera here and there...

Moto XPE/VZW Moto X DE/N7

For YOU that would be realistic usage. For me its not. I text a ton and surf the web. Read post #42 for further description.

You all are getting really good battery life it seems. My S7 before i traded it was only 4-5 hrs SOT and I had it on basic with push off. Was KNOX making sure I didn't roll back my OS every 1/2 hr Killing my battery...OR gold just has horrible battery life vs silver/black. :D

AWESOME to see HTC doing so great !

I'm only getting about 4 hours sot, maybe 5 I'm in lucky. I'd really like to know why standby is so high. I have location on high accuracy, Google Now and location history off. No social media apps syncing either.

Mine is killing it when it comes to battery life. Charged before bed, had 1 hr screen time, 2 hrs music, 10hrs total and it only went down to 93%. No battery saver used. 8 emails continually scanning for messages. I've never had battery life like that on a phone.
So you're equating your battery life to over 10hrs SOT with 20 hours of music streaming to completely drain it. Yea I doubt that. Screenshot from gsam plz.

What's wrong with getting 4-5 hours SOT? Personally I think that's pretty damn good.

Sorry you're having trouble but don't take it out on me. I never said that, I simply stated my experience that evening and, in fact, I pretty much get the same every day. I don't believe this phone scales the battery in the way you're thinking as I find the first 10% drains slower than if I'm at, say between 10 and 20% (at which point it seems like it depletes more quickly). I don't know if the battery drains differently or that the way the phone reads it isn't entirely accurate (which I think is likely).
I have already posted a screenshot of 23hours of daily-type use with 20% remaining. If you don't want to believe it, that's no bother to me.

My experience after the first week is that it's a solid 10 hour device bwith mixed use. A quick charge in the middle of the day could easily make the phone last until the wee hours.

But your screenshot proves nothing, doesn't show how much screen time you had. No reason to take it so offensively if you didn't have anything to hide.

It's par. I can live with it that's no problem but comparing to make other devices it's really anything special. It's no better than the moto x pure and really just slightly better than my m9 was getting.

This is with a 3600 mah battery and a 5.5" screen, for comparison. S7 Edge

Why am I needing to "prove" phone results? Are we having a competition? As I said earlier, this battery is ridiculously good and it literally makes no difference to me if another phone gets a couple hours more because I can go a full day without charging and, when I do charge, it's incredibly quick.

I crack myself up. Turned on BT...but work had me hoppin today so virtually no use of my phone. OPC is just plain stupid sometimes.

I'm just saying; what your saying isn't possible. However instead of being completely offensive I'm just offering to see your proof.
