Regarding Dec. 9 no longer being the unofficial date

I'm guessing to give Droid 4 a launch then release the nexus on Monday like the razr and rezound launch....

Boy I'm about ready to call this quitting time.... CES just around the corner. So

You won't believe it... but it was actually significantly worse than this. I think if it gets delayed to January, that would transcend the Thunderbolt shennanigans. Otherwise, this is about part for the course with Verizon. They are TERRIBLE at execution.

But, they sure know how to make commercials.

AND terrible with commitment.

The testers probably found another software bug and decided that it would be smarter to fix it rather than knowingly release a phone (with no official release date) with issues. Very wise move IMO. Obviously the nerds will freak out but there is a reason Verizon is number one across the board,

I love what people will believe in order to deal with disappointment. There are the Verizon haters and then the Verizon defenders.

Classic stuff.

Having no official comment stating such, I think it's equally likely that they did it to give the Droid 4 launch some breathing room.

(On a side note, how ludicrous is it that we've had FOUR Droids [as in, Motorola landscape QWERTY slider Android devices] launch within 14 months of each other??)

lol last night i posted it would be funny if there was another delay with everyone so sure about the 9th. Didn't mean to jinx us. lmao

This is kind of funny... when was the last time a phone was relesed in perfect operating order without a bug of some kind. Again, I find it very difficult to believe that at the 11th hour "bugs" are being discovered, when we all know VZW is changing the pure Google experience with this device.

Was just thinking about that. I think we'll still talk a lot about it. But maybe not for the whole hour. Thoughts?

Hmm.... I'd save it for the release week. What's there really to discuss about this device that hasn't been discussed over the last month (other than the release)?

Only if it's a significant bug since they can always do an OTA update to fix it after release. The more they wait, the more sales they lose. At some point there has to be a trade-off where they have to weigh the loss of sales with the trouble (and potential loss of sales) of updating a phone after release. I think they've actually already passed that point, particularly as we get closer and closer to Christmas and each passing day means one less day of holiday shopping.

This is insane.

I agree if this goes into January this will be the worst launch of a phone ever.
