Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

How long did it take for you guys to get a confirmation email? I submitted the claim for the free VR only. Was approved immediately however I have not received a confirmation email. Tried to check my status on their site and it still hasn't updated.
 
I'm also on hold now. The first guy transferred me to another department. I believe we are screwed getting this $99. bundle.

Samsung had right at 1 million preorders in Korea alone. I don't know what kind of promo they were offered but if Korea had 1 million preorders then you can imagine how many the United States had. They are making billions of dollars off of preorders and the reason people are preordering is to secure the promotion. If they are going to offer an incentive to preorder then they need to give everyone that preordered the promotion whether it be the free VR with controller for free or the $99 bundle if that's what they choose. They will still be making over a billion dollars just on preorders. Even if it's on back order that's fine, I'll wait a little bit if I have to. I just want my promotion lol.
 
I sat on hold for the for almost 2 hours in total last night 3 calls and was disconnected each time. I've been on hold for 37 minutes as of right now. That must have thousands of calls in que.

I'm on hold too.... LMAO. Ok I'm done, I'll just buy other headphones. Too bad, I think this might be my last Samsung gig....screw up with Note 7, now promotion on S8+, turning out to be a joke. I might not write them off if I like the phone or if the Note 8 is nice.
 
Calling is a complete waste of time. After 2 hours on hold the lady said there is nothing that can be done as it's a Samsung website problem. She said keep trying to enter the info on the site or app. unbelievable. :mad:

Yes I'm done too....but I will keep trying, the app no longer gives me the option....as it says, I already registered for the promotion, i should have taken a screen shot of it. Website says it doesn't recognize my IMEI number....

I believe Samsung is only giving them to the people that purchased direct from Samsung.
 
Did mine with the Samsung Shop app and it was a breeze. Just screen shot the "Order is processed" email and it took all of about 45 seconds to submit it through the app and it was approved just as quick. Hope everyone else can submit theirs just as easy...
 
Weird you guys are getting issues. Using the app was flawless for me. Try reinstalling maybe? I submitted the info, waited half a day to get approved, then purchased the bundle through the app.

I had zero issues as well, I was actually blown away by how easy it was on the app compared to last year with the note 7.

It worked great through the app for me and I got my phone through t mobile, not Samsung.

If you get your phone through Samsung you are automatically registered for the gift. I think all you will have to do is pay the extra at checkout for the headphones and the SD card.

My webpage changed before I remembered to do a screen capture and I couldn't get it back. And that BUY NOW button is what didn't work at all.
 
I have the same problem. Registered through the web page, it says "approved," the buy link doesn't work (after the warning that you should buy right now) and no confirmation email.

Something went through because I can't re-register on the app, but who knows what it is.

I had that same screen...buy button didn't work. I should've saved screen as well. No email till now.
 
I tried yesterday around 5pm CST using the app. I chose the $99 bundle. Everything seemed to work well but I still haven't received a confirmation email or an email to pay for the bundle. I think I was too late. If it was truly only 50,000 of them they're probably gone.
 
I just checked the status on the samsung website and it has been approved. now just waiting for them to ship it out. I did mine this morning at 6:30 am Central time.

How did you purchase the bundle through the app. I've looked all over the app to purchase the bundle. I was told to go ahead and purchase is when I submitted my claim but there wasn't a button to click to buy it at that time. Samsung has really dropped the ball with this issue. They should allow everyone that preordered to get their bundle or gift. There shouldn't be a certain number available
